Panigrahana Trade

How we collect the flower rates we publish

Short version: Bangalore rates are real purchase prices — what our own ops team pays at KR Market when buying for Panigrahana wedding and event productions. Other cities are indicative ranges compiled from trade sources and periodic market checks, not our own purchases.

Bangalore (KR Market) — first-hand purchase data

Panigrahana's production studio buys flowers at KR Market, Bangalore for our own weddings and events. The published Bangalore rates are the actual per-stem / per-kg prices paid on our most recent purchase run, for standard event-grade stock (not premium exhibition grade, not end-of-day clearance). Each rate carries the date it was last verified — if the stamp is old, the rate is old; we do not backfill or estimate.

Other cities — indicative trade ranges

For Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata we publish indicative wholesale ranges compiled from trade contacts and periodic market checks. They are useful for budgeting direction, not for negotiating a specific stall price on a specific morning. Always verify at the market on the day of purchase.

What moves prices

Wholesale flower prices in India move with festival demand (Diwali, Dasara, wedding muhurtham clusters), monsoon supply disruption, and transport costs. Around major festivals, marigold and rose rates commonly rise 40–60% versus lean weeks — plan procurement budgets accordingly.
