Luxury Wedding Planner in India

Last updated: June 2026

Every planner in India says “luxury”. Here is what the word means when it has to survive contact with a 2 AM decor changeover: in-house design, owned production, managed guests, honest numbers.

What Luxury Costs — and Who We Are

A genuinely luxury Indian wedding — premium venue, designed environments, professional production, managed guest experience — costs ₹1–3 crore for a 3-day, 150–400 guest celebration in 2026. Goa runs ₹60 lakh–1.5 crore for 100–150 guests; Kerala ₹55 lakh–1.2 crore; Udaipur palace-hotel weddings ₹1–2.5 crore; Bali USD 80,000–250,000 for 50–120 guests. Panigrahana takes full-wedding mandates from ₹50 lakh, and we publish these numbers because the luxury segment's worst habit is pretending budgets are vulgar to discuss. Test your own on the wedding cost calculator.

Panigrahana is a wedding planning and design studio founded in 2019 by Chaithanya Iganesh, a trained architect. That origin is not biography garnish — it is the operating system. Weddings here are designed the way buildings are designed: site first, light second, structure third, ornament last. The studio has grown to a 30+ person in-house team across planning, design, fabrication and production, has produced 500+ weddings, and holds a 4.8/5 rating across 241 reviews. We are headquartered in Bangalore with an office in Panaji, Goa and a team in Kochi, Kerala.

What “Luxury” Means When It's Operational, Not Adjectival

Design originates in-house — nothing is rented from a catalogue

Most Indian wedding decor is assembled from vendor catalogues: the same arches, the same stages, photographed at someone else's wedding. Our design studio is architect-led; mandaps, stage sets, lighting plans and floral architecture are designed for your specific site and fabricated by our own workshop. The difference is visible in photographs and undeniable in person. See what that looks like at each budget tier in our luxury wedding decor guide and architect-designed decor explainer.

Production is owned, not subcontracted

Sound, lighting, LED, staging and show-calling run as one accountable team, not four vendors with four WhatsApp groups. A luxury sangeet is a stage show; it needs cue sheets and a show-caller, or it starts ninety minutes late and the artist's set collides with dinner service. This production discipline is what separates a studio from a decorator with a planning license — and it is why our large weddings are covered in depth on the big fat Indian wedding page.

The guest experience is managed end to end

Room-block negotiation and allocation, flight manifests, transfer waves, welcome hampers, a hospitality desk that answers questions so the family's phones don't. At luxury scale, guests judge the wedding by the hours between events as much as the events themselves. This is unglamorous work, which is exactly why it defines the segment.

Honesty is a feature, not a tone

Real budgets with the contingency layer included from day one. Weather backups that are booked, not promised. A stated minimum mandate (₹50 lakh) so nobody's evening is wasted. And a 2-hour response promise (9am–9pm IST) that we treat as a contract. Luxury clients are not buying flattery; they are buying the absence of unpleasant surprises.

Where We Work — Home Ground, Partner Ground, Honest Ground

We divide our map into three honest categories, because a planner's value is a function of how well they know the ground.

How a Luxury Planning Mandate Actually Runs

We take full-wedding mandates only — planning, design and production as one engagement, one accountable team. It begins with a discovery call covering dates (and muhurtham constraints), guest count, budget band and the mood you want. Within five working days you receive a venue-and-budget proposal with real costings and honest notes on each property's weaknesses, not just its brochure angles. From there: a dedicated lead planner, fortnightly video calls, design presentations with full renders, two site trips for outstation and NRI couples (venue selection; then tastings and design sign-off 2–3 months out), and our production crew on-site 3–5 days before your first event.

For couples planning from abroad, the rhythm is built for distance — most of our NRI clients visit India only twice before the wedding week. That playbook lives on the NRI wedding planning page. And if your brief is city-specific, the luxury wedding planner Bangalore page covers our home city in depth.

What We Ask of Clients

Three things: a fixed muhurtham before any venue is contracted, decision-makers on the planning calls, and trust in the process between milestones. In exchange you get a wedding that is designed rather than decorated, produced rather than coordinated, and remembered for how it felt rather than how stressful it was.

Luxury Wedding Planning in India — Common Questions

Most weddings Panigrahana would call genuinely luxury — premium venue, designed (not decorated) environments, professional production, managed guest experience — land between ₹1 crore and ₹3 crore for a 3-day, 150–400 guest celebration in India. Goa runs ₹60 lakh–1.5 crore for 100–150 guests; palace-hotel weddings in Udaipur run ₹1–2.5 crore; Bali runs USD 80,000–250,000 for 50–120 guests. We take full-wedding mandates from ₹50 lakh.
Not the adjective — the operations. In our definition it means four things: design originates in-house (our studio is architect-led and fabricates its own decor, nothing is rented from a catalogue); production is owned, not subcontracted (sound, light, LED and show-calling run by one accountable team); the guest experience is managed end to end (room blocks, transport manifests, hospitality desks); and the planning is honest — real budgets, booked contingencies, and a willingness to say no. Glamour is the output; these are the inputs.
Our home destinations — where we have offices or permanent teams — are Bangalore (headquarters), Goa (Panaji office) and Kerala (Kochi team). We also produce destination weddings in Bali, Phuket/Thailand and Sri Lanka with established local partner networks. For Rajasthan — Udaipur and Jaipur palace weddings — we are honest: we have no office there; we travel with our full in-house design and production team, which suits some briefs and not others.
Panigrahana was founded in 2019 by Chaithanya Iganesh, a trained architect, and that origin shapes everything: weddings are designed as spatial experiences, not decorated as events. The studio now runs a 30+ person in-house team across planning, design, fabrication and production, has produced 500+ weddings since founding, and holds a 4.8/5 rating from 241 reviews. There is no franchising and no outsourced design.
We take full-wedding mandates only — planning, design and production as one engagement — starting from ₹50 lakh in India. It begins with a discovery call, then a venue-and-budget proposal with honest costings within five working days. From there: a dedicated lead planner, fortnightly calls, design presentations with full renders from our studio, two site trips for outstation couples (venue selection, then tastings and design sign-off), and our production team on-site days before the first event. We respond to every enquiry within 2 hours, 9am–9pm IST.
Constantly — NRI families in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and the Gulf are a large share of our destination weddings in Goa, Kerala and Bangalore. The planning rhythm is built for remote couples: video-call cadence across time zones, a shared decision tracker, design approvals on full renders, and our team handling every vendor, permit and logistics question on the ground. Most NRI couples visit India twice before the wedding week.
