The Spaces — and What Each Wants

• Backwater lawns. The signature setting — water-facing open lawns for the muhurtham or reception. Reflection-led design works beautifully here: low, wide installations and lighting that doubles in the water at dusk, rather than tall structures that fight the horizon.
• The beach. For a sunset ceremony or cocktail hour, kept deliberately minimal — the sea is the decor, so a clean mandap, drapes that move with the breeze and warm light are enough.
• Banquet & indoor spaces. The all-weather anchor for a monsoon-safe function or an air-conditioned reception, dressed to carry the resort's coastal elegance indoors.

Coastal Kerala is unforgiving on decor that was designed for a ballroom. Salt air corrodes untreated metal within days, sea breeze turns tall structures into sails, and humidity affects fabric, florals and makeup.
