The Most Romantic Wedding in North Bangalore
Vivek Rao and Priyanka Menon had been together for nine years. For their wedding, they wanted something that felt like a departure — from the familiar, from the ordinary, from every wedding they had ever attended. They had a simple reference: "We want it to look like a painting."
La Terra Gardens in Ananthapura Street, Yelahanka delivered that in full, and Panigrahana's design turned it into something that exceeded even the couple's imagination.
"The moment we drove in through the gates and saw the sculpted hedges and the fountain, we both went silent," says Priyanka. "Vivek reached over and held my hand. We didn't need to say anything."
About La Terra Gardens
North Bangalore's most romantic wedding venue, located near Nagarjuna Degree College in Ananthapura Street, Yelahanka, draws inspiration from Italian country gardens — sculpted hedges, stone walkways, ornamental fountains, and an abundance of flowers. With 23 rooms on property, the venue is particularly celebrated for its sunset ceremony settings and the magical transformation after dark when bespoke lighting creates a fairytale atmosphere.
An Evening to Remember
Sangeet: Panigrahana installed 300 glass orbs — hand-blown, each containing a real flower — suspended above the garden path leading from the gate to the main ceremony lawn. As guests arrived in the evening, they walked through what appeared to be a corridor of floating flowers. Every guest photographed it.
Wedding ceremony: At 5:30pm, with the setting sun casting golden light over La Terra's stone walkways. The mandap was designed in a European-Indian fusion: wrought iron archway base with cascading white jasmine, champagne roses, and trailing ivy — the combination of Indian florals and Italian garden architecture felt completely natural here.
Reception: The gardens illuminated after dark. Candles in stone alcoves, string lights above the dining tables, the central fountain with floating flower arrangements. 250 guests, each feeling they had been transported somewhere impossibly beautiful.
"Every photograph from that evening looks like it was art-directed," says Vivek. "The venue did half the work; Panigrahana did the rest."
