Under Silver Teak Trees, Two Lives Became One
Abhijit Roy and Roshni Narayanan are both environmentalists. Their wedding had to reflect their values: connection to nature, zero unnecessary waste, genuine beauty without excess. Temple Tree Leisure in Bettadasanapura, Electronic City was not just a venue choice — it was a statement. "Design around the trees, not over them," they told Panigrahana. "Let the trees be the architecture."
About Temple Tree Leisure
Set among magnificent silver teak trees on a 2.3-acre estate in Bettadasanapura, Electronic City, Temple Tree has curated extraordinary events since 2011. The venue's design philosophy celebrates nature — every ceremony space is framed by majestic trees, creating a living cathedral. With 16 rooms, a thatched-roof dining pavilion for 500, and exceptional dining, it delivers a complete eco-wedding experience in South Bangalore.
An Eco-Conscious Celebration
Panigrahana worked within a sustainability brief: zero plastic, local flowers only (within 100 km), banana leaf service for the wedding feast, all décor reused or replanted.
The resulting aesthetic was extraordinary: hundreds of terracotta oil lamps on natural jute strings suspended from ancient trees, creating a golden haze. The mandap: living bamboo wrapped with jasmine. Every table centrepiece — a living plant for guests to take home. Sadya served on banana leaves.
"It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended," wrote one guest. "And the most meaningful."
