Printed, boxed, video or AI-made: choosing your wedding invitation
Start with who receives what. Many Bangalore families hand a printed card or box to elders and close family and send everyone else a digital invite. Shankheshwar Cards Creation in Sultanpet lists printed invites from ₹10 each, and Mostly Handmade quotes 3 to 5 days for design, then 10 to 12 days to print.

Printed cards, boxes and keepsake formats
For printed cards, start in the old city. Sultanpet, round the corner from Chickpet market, has shop after shop of ready designs. LBB's guide to the market says the shops there sell in lots of at least 100 cards and send you to a printer nearby, where 100 cards take about two hours.

Boxes and keepsake cards come in more than paper. Sri Raja Lakshmi Wedding Cards in Balepete lists invitations in paper, cardboard, acrylic, MDF and fabric, as well as gift boxes. House of Cards in Kothanur makes frame, scroll and acrylic invitations, and Shankheshwar Cards Creation lists laser-cut and scroll cards and invitation boxes.

Google's suggestions in India include "wedding invitation box with dry fruits". If you want sweets or dry fruits inside the box, ask who fills it, how the card is held in place, and how close to the delivery date the food goes in.

Two techniques are worth seeing in person. Chase the Key Letterpress India prints modern, minimal designs on an antique letterpress, which presses the type into the paper. Seed Paper India prints on paper made with flower and herb seeds, and its planting guide says the paper blooms four to eight weeks after it goes into soil.

Video, illustrated and caricature e-invites
Digital invitations are where search interest is growing. Pinterest's 2026 wedding data for India, reported by Deccan Chronicle on 30 April 2026, showed searches for "creative digital wedding invitations" up 980% from December to February, against the same months a year earlier. On Google Trends for India, "3d wedding invitation" rose 100% in the 12 months to 15 October 2026. Both figures measure growth, not the number of searches.

Several studios on our list make them. Perfect Invites in Basavanagudi works in illustration and animation, and Jyothi Bansal Concepts lists print, digital and video invitations. Mostly Handmade makes e-invitations alongside its printed sets and adds caricatures on request, and Chase the Key Letterpress India lists illustrated e-invites.

Before you pay a deposit, put these questions to the studio:
- Which files will we get: a vertical video for WhatsApp, a square one for Instagram, a still image, a PDF?
- For a caricature, how many photos do you need, and how many rounds of changes are included?
- Can the text be set in Kannada or another script, and who checks the spelling?
- Who keeps the design files? Mostly Handmade, for one, keeps the files and the copyright, and the couple buys the stationery for personal use.

Making your own invite with ChatGPT or Gemini
Search data shows couples trying this. On Google Trends for India, "ai wedding invitation" rose 120% in the 12 months to 15 October 2026, and Google suggests phrases such as "wedding invitation video prompt for chatgpt" and "wedding invitation video prompt for gemini ai".

A prompt works better when it carries the facts in a fixed order. Give the tool the couple's names as the family spells them, the parents' names, the date and day, the muhurtham time, the venue and city, and an RSVP contact. Then describe the look, such as a temple border or a palette taken from the bride's saree, and say whether it is for print or for phones.
Then proof it yourself, line by line:
- Every name, letter by letter, against how the family writes it
- The date, the day of the week and the muhurtham time, against the family's panchang
- The venue name, the address and the map pin
- Phone numbers and the RSVP date
- Any Kannada or other script, read by someone fluent, because image tools can garble letters

Kannada, bilingual and regional-language cards
Google suggests "wedding invitation kannada and english" and "wedding invitation kannada wording" to searchers in India. If your card carries two languages, decide early which side or panel holds which, and line up two proofreaders, one for each script.

Lead times, minimum orders and prices
Leave room for design, printing and delivery to guests. Our Bangalore shopping guide suggests briefing the card designer three to four months before the wedding. Mostly Handmade quotes 3 to 5 days for standard design and about 10 to 12 days of printing after that, while Printo can print the same day.
