How to get your wedding featured in India: the route at each outlet
To get a wedding featured in India, send an exclusive, fully credited set of images and a real story to an outlet with a public route, and settle image rights before the wedding. As of 31 October 2026, WeddingSutra takes 3 to 5 images at editor@weddingsutra.com and asks you to wait 90 days after it publishes before going elsewhere, and ELLE India has printed editor@ogaan.co.in on three 2026 wedding stories. In checks on 30 and 31 October 2026 we found no public route at Vogue India, Vogue Weddings, Harper's Bazaar India, Brides Today, HELLO! India or Femina Wedding Times.
A feature is always the editor's decision, so no planner, photographer or couple can promise one. Panigrahana Weddings is a planning and decor studio in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala, not a publication, and we make no such promise either. What you can control is the file: who owns the pictures, who gets credited, and who sends it. This page sets out what each outlet asks for and what to agree before the wedding, so the option stays open if you want it.

Which wedding outlets in India accept submissions?
These are the Indian outlets we checked that publish a way in. We read each outlet's own page on 31 October 2026, except WedMeGood, where the row is our own record from September. Not stated means the outlet's page does not say.
| Outlet | Route | Who can send | What it asks for | Exclusivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WeddingSutra | editor@weddingsutra.com, rules on its Submit a Wedding page | Not stated for real weddings | 3 to 5 images, each no larger than 2 MB, plus basic details | Yes. 90 days after it publishes |
| ELLE India | editor@ogaan.co.in, printed on three wedding stories from June and July 2026 | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |
| WedMeGood | Form at wedmegood.com/submit-real-wedding and submissions@wedmegood.com, as we recorded them in September 2026 | Not on our record | 15 to 20 photographs, the couple's story and full vendor credits, as recorded | Not on our record |
| WittyVows | Form at wittyvows.com/submit or brides@wittyvows.com | Anyone, including relatives and friends. Vendors have a separate form | No set number. Free for couples | Not stated |
| Outlet | What we found | Checked |
|---|---|---|
| Vogue India | No submission page, form or address in web searches. Its Vogue Wedding Atelier in August 2025 was announced as invite-only | 30 October 2026, by search |
| Vogue Weddings | No submission page, form or address. The public accounts we read are first-person and American | 30 October 2026, by search |
| Harper's Bazaar India | No weddings section in its main navigation and no submission text on its home page. Contact Us goes to the India Today Group page, which lists an editorial contact but no wedding route | 31 October 2026 |
| Brides Today | No submission text on its home page. Contact Us goes to the same group page | 31 October 2026 |
| HELLO! India | No weddings section and no submission text on its home page. Contact Us goes to the same group page, which does not name HELLO! India | 31 October 2026 |
| Femina Wedding Times | No route found. We could not open femina.in on the check date, so we do not know the title's current status | 31 October 2026 |
No route found means we did not find one, not that none exists. These titles may work through their own editors and contacts. Vogue's site does not allow tools like ours to read it, so those two rows rest on web searches and press coverage rather than on the site itself. Routes change, so check the outlet's own page before you send anything.
How do you submit a wedding to WeddingSutra?
What its Submit a Wedding page asks for
- Email editor@weddingsutra.com and name the category you are submitting to in the subject line.
- Attach 3 to 5 images, each no larger than 2 MB and around 1,200 pixels wide. Do not send ZIP files or high-resolution originals.
- Give your location, a phone number, the wedding date and the wedding location or locations.
- Send pictures that are clean and well edited. The page says unfiltered or unprocessed photographs are appreciated.
- Wait to be contacted. The editorial team writes to the people it selects, and the page gives no timeline.
- After it publishes, wait 90 days before you submit the wedding to another blog or magazine.
Exclusivity is the rule that catches people out. WeddingSutra says exclusivity is paramount and does not publish content already featured on other blogs, websites or magazines. Your own website or Facebook page is allowed, and so is your photographer's or wedding expert's. So keep the wedding away from other publications until you have an answer.

How do you send a wedding to ELLE India?
Write to editor@ogaan.co.in. That address closes three real-wedding stories ELLE India published on 23 June, 14 July and 27 July 2026, after the line "Celebrating a wedding that deserves to be told? Write to us at". The five real-wedding stories it published after those do not carry the line, and we found no ELLE India rules on images, exclusivity or timing. Treat it as an address, not a process.
Keep a first email short: who you are, where and when you married, why the story matters, and a link to a small set of images. That is our suggestion, not ELLE India's rule.

How do you submit a real wedding to WedMeGood?
Use the form at wedmegood.com/submit-real-wedding or write to submissions@wedmegood.com. Those are the routes we recorded in September 2026, with a request for 15 to 20 photographs, the couple's story and full vendor credits. WedMeGood's site does not allow tools like ours to read it, so we could not re-check this on 31 October. Open the page yourself before you send anything. We have no record of its exclusivity rule or of how long a reply takes, so ask both in your first message.
Is there a Vogue India wedding submission email?
We did not find one. Web searches on 30 October 2026 turned up no submission page, form or address for Vogue India or Vogue Weddings. The Vogue Wedding Atelier, Vogue India's bridal showcase at the Taj Palace in New Delhi in August 2025, was announced as an invite-only event.
What is in public is second-hand and mostly American. Sonder Studio, a wedding brand studio, says Vogue's website does not have a submission page, and that weddings in titles such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar fall into two groups: "High-profile couples (aka celebrities)" and "Pay-to-play features (aka paid ads)". A New York bride wrote in December 2024 that Vogue "reached out to feature us". A fashion writer said in March 2026 that the usual route often includes hiring a fashion publicist, and that her own piece was commissioned after she pitched a fresh angle. None of this comes from Vogue itself.
If someone offers to place your wedding in Vogue for a fee, ask for the outlet's own written confirmation and ask how the piece will be labelled.
What do wedding editors actually print?
The couple, far more than the spending. On 31 October 2026 we read all 24 real-wedding stories listed in ELLE India's wedding section, published from December 2025 to September 2026. None printed what the wedding cost, and most quote the couple directly. "It wasn't about the décor or the guests", one bride told ELLE India in July 2026. The headlines work the same way: Born In The Same Hospital, A Five-Hour First Date, From Neighbours To Newlyweds.
| Printed in the story | Stories, of 24 |
|---|---|
| The photographer's name | 19 |
| A planner or design firm's name | 10 |
| The address for sending a wedding | 3 |
| What the wedding cost | 0 |
Decor gets into the story when there is something to say about how it was made. One August 2026 story gave a paragraph to a 24-foot floral dome mandap, engineered in four sections so it could be moved and assembled at a venue in Udaipur, and quoted the design firm's founder on how it was done. An editor can use that: how it was built, by whom and why.
What to write down before you approach anyone
- How the two of you met, in the plainest words you can find.
- Why you chose the place, and what it meant to you.
- One ritual or family moment, told in your own words.
- One thing made for your wedding, and who made it.
- The full credit list, spelled the way each vendor spells it.
Our own carpenters, welders and florists build Panigrahana decor from our production warehouses in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala, and our designers work alongside them. So if an editor asks who made a piece and how, the drawing and the people behind it sit with one team.
Who should submit: couple, photographer or planner?
One person, agreed in advance, who holds both the pictures and the permission to use them. Outlets differ. WeddingSutra and ELLE India name no sender for real weddings. WittyVows says anyone can, Maharani Weddings takes brides and vendors, and Rock n Roll Bride takes photographers, newlyweds or any supplier involved in the day. Vendor blogs tend to say the photographer sends it, as Na Lia Weddings did in 2023.
We would start with the photographer, who holds the full gallery. A planner or designer can send it too, with the couple's agreement and the photographer's written permission. Agree one sender either way, because WeddingSutra asks you not to resubmit anything already sent for publication.
Who owns your wedding photographs in India?
By default, the person who commissioned and paid for them, unless a contract says otherwise. The Copyright Office's handbook says that for a photograph taken "for valuable consideration at the instance of any person", that person is the first owner of the copyright "in the absence of any agreement to the contrary". Those last words matter: if your photographer's contract keeps the copyright, the contract decides.
So read the copyright clause before you sign, and ask for written permission to send images to a publication, with the credit line you want. Everyone else needs that permission too. Building the decor at a wedding gives a studio no rights in the photographs of it. This is general information, not legal advice.

What should you agree before the wedding?
Six things to settle, in this order
- Copyright and use: who owns the images, and whether you can send them to a publication without asking again.
- Credits: the exact name of every vendor. Maharani Weddings requires a photography credit and says it cannot go back and add a vendor credit later.
- The hold: nobody sends the wedding to a blog or magazine until you have chosen an outlet. WeddingSutra's exclusivity rule and Rock n Roll Bride's first-showing rule both depend on this.
- Family consent: both sets of parents agree to names and pictures going out, and say what stays private.
- The sender: one named person, one outlet at a time.
- Empty-room pictures: ask the photographer to shoot the mandap and the decor before guests arrive, because those frames cannot be taken later.
If you marry with Panigrahana and may want to submit, tell us early. We keep the vendor credits with your planning file. Before any submission, you and your photographer must both have agreed, and the photographer must be credited. We cannot promise that anyone will publish the wedding.
Are wedding features ever paid for?
Some placements are sold as advertising. WeddingSutra's Advertise with Us page lists "GET FEATURED on our Social Media + Featured Weddings" among its options and does not say how those pieces are labelled, while its submission page mentions no fee. So one site can hold an editorial route and an advertising route, and the name alone will not tell you which you are looking at.
India's advertising code says social media advertisements on media companies' handles must be clearly identifiable, with the disclosure upfront (ASCI Code, Chapter I, clause 8). Use that as your test. When a vendor's site says featured in a title, ask for the link and the date, and ask whether money changed hands.

Which outlets outside India take submissions?
If you live abroad, or your guest list spans two continents, these three publish rules we could read on 31 October 2026.
| Outlet | Who can send | Route and rules | Exclusivity and timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maharani Weddings | Bride or vendor | Form on its Submit a Wedding page. 60 to 100 unwatermarked colour images in a Dropbox folder, each no larger than 15 MB, with a photography credit | The form asks whether the wedding has been submitted or published elsewhere |
| Rock n Roll Bride | Photographers, newlyweds or any supplier involved in the day, after the wedding has taken place | Its Getting Featured page. A UK title for alternative couples | First-showing exclusivity. Lead time around three months for online features, with an answer usually in 2 to 3 working days |
| Over The Moon | Not stated | Form on its Wedding Submissions page. The guidelines sit behind the form | A reply can take up to 60 days, and silence after that means no. Directory members get prioritised review |
What should planners and designers send?
The same file, with the couple's consent first. A WeddingSutra real-wedding story of 22 September 2026 carried credit lines for venue, design, decor and wedding planner, and 10 of the 24 ELLE India stories above named a planner or design firm. Credit is not automatic, so write the credit list yourself and put it in the first email.
Awards are a separate door. The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards take entries on wsengage.com in four steps: register, pick your categories, payment and upload. On 31 October the page showed a last date of 20 July with no year beside it, so check the current cycle before you plan around it.
What if no outlet takes your wedding?
Then you have lost an email and nothing else. Most outlets do not say how long to wait, though Over The Moon tells you to assume no after 60 days. If you have waited and heard nothing, write once to withdraw the wedding before you offer it to the next outlet.
A wedding that never appears in a magazine is a complete wedding, and some couples would rather keep theirs to themselves. You now know which outlets have a route, what each asks for and what to settle first. The next step is one short conversation with your photographer about the copyright clause, before you sign.
Questions couples ask
How do I get my wedding featured in Vogue India?
We found no public route as of 30 October 2026: no submission page, form or address for Vogue India or Vogue Weddings. Vogue's site does not allow tools like ours to read it, so this rests on web searches and press coverage. If you want a national feature, start with an outlet that publishes a way in, such as WeddingSutra or ELLE India, and treat any offer to place you in Vogue for a fee as advertising until the outlet confirms otherwise in writing.
How do I submit my wedding to WeddingSutra?
Email editor@weddingsutra.com with the category in the subject line and attach 3 to 5 images, each no larger than 2 MB and around 1,200 pixels wide, with no ZIP files. Include the location, a phone number, the wedding date and the wedding location. The wedding must not have run on another blog, website or magazine, though your own website or Facebook page, or your photographer's, is fine. After it publishes, wait 90 days before submitting it elsewhere (rules read on 31 October 2026).
How do I submit a real wedding to WedMeGood?
Our last record, from September 2026, is a form at wedmegood.com/submit-real-wedding and the address submissions@wedmegood.com, asking for 15 to 20 photographs, the couple's story and full vendor credits. We could not re-read the page on 31 October 2026, so open it yourself before sending. We have no record of its exclusivity rule, so ask in your first message.
Who submits a wedding to a magazine, the couple or the photographer?
It depends on the outlet, and several do not say. WeddingSutra and ELLE India name no sender for real weddings. WittyVows accepts anyone, Maharani Weddings takes brides and vendors, and Rock n Roll Bride takes photographers, newlyweds or any supplier involved in the day. The photographer is a sensible first choice because they hold the full gallery, but agree one sender so the wedding goes out once.
Do you have to pay to get your wedding featured?
Not on the routes we read at WeddingSutra, WittyVows and Maharani Weddings: none of those submission pages asks for a fee, and WittyVows says features are free for couples. Advertising routes do exist. WeddingSutra's Advertise with Us page lists Featured Weddings among its options without saying how they are labelled. If someone asks you for money, ask how the piece will be labelled and treat it as advertising.
Can a wedding planner guarantee a magazine feature?
No. The editor decides, and none of the outlets we read promises to publish what it receives. WeddingSutra contacts the people it selects, and Over The Moon says silence after 60 days means no. A planner can keep the credits in order, help settle image permissions and help you tell the story. If anyone guarantees a feature, ask whether the placement is paid.
Can we post our wedding on Instagram before submitting it?
Ask the outlet first. WeddingSutra allows your own website or Facebook page, and your photographer's or wedding expert's, but its page does not mention Instagram. Rock n Roll Bride asks for first-showing exclusivity and will not publish weddings already featured on other blogs or magazines. Until you have an answer, keep the full set of pictures back.
Who owns wedding photos in India, the couple or the photographer?
By default, the person who commissioned and paid for them. The Copyright Office's handbook says the person at whose instance a photograph is taken for valuable consideration is the first owner of the copyright, in the absence of any agreement to the contrary. A photographer's contract can change that, so read the copyright clause before you sign. This is general information, not legal advice.
How soon after the wedding should we submit it?
Most outlets set no deadline. WeddingSutra and ELLE India name none, and Rock n Roll Bride says to submit after the wedding has taken place. Lead times vary: Rock n Roll Bride quotes around three months for online features. Send once your photographer has delivered the edited images and you have settled credits and consent.
What do wedding magazines look for in a real wedding?
The couple's story more than the spending. Of the 24 real-wedding stories we read in ELLE India's wedding section on 31 October 2026, none printed what the wedding cost, 19 named the photographer and 10 named a planner or design firm. Editors also use detail about how something was made, such as one mandap engineered in four sections so it could be moved and assembled in Udaipur.

We opened and read every page above on 31 October 2026. We did not read vogue.in or wedmegood.com, because neither allows tools like ours: the WedMeGood route is our own record from September 2026, and the Vogue rows rest on web searches of 30 October 2026 and the press items listed. femina.in could not be opened. The ELLE India counts are our own reading of the 24 stories about a named couple's wedding that its wedding section listed on 31 October 2026, leaving out essays, trend pieces and vendor profiles. Nothing here is a promise of publication, and every outlet's rules can change without notice.
Keeping the option open
Tell us your date and we will talk through credits and image rights.
A first message needs just your name and WhatsApp number. We will tell you what to settle with your photographer and vendors before the wedding. We cannot promise a feature, and neither can anyone else.
