What Is the Couple Portal?

The Panigrahana Couple Portal is a private digital workspace every Panigrahana couple gets for their wedding. It brings the things that normally live across WhatsApp, email, spreadsheets and PDFs into one place: design presentations with feedback and approval, meeting notes, the decisions waiting on you, guest information, payments and a photo wall your guests contribute to. It is proprietary software our own team built and runs — not an off-the-shelf planner tool with our logo on it.

What Lives Inside It

Design decks, with your feedback on the record

When our studio designs your mandap, stage or decor concept, it arrives as a deck in your portal — not a PDF lost in chat. You comment on specific slides, ask for changes, and approve. The version everyone is building from is always the approved one. Most of the design conversations for our recent weddings have run through this flow — dozens of decks presented, discussed and approved inside the portal.

Every meeting, minuted

Planning calls sync with the calendar, and the minutes land in your portal afterwards. Six months later, when someone asks "didn't we decide the sangeet ends at eleven?" — the answer is written down, dated, and one search away.

Open decisions, tracked like decisions

Instead of "did you see my message about the welcome drink?", the portal keeps a live list of the decisions waiting on you — each one with its context and options laid out. You answer when you're ready; nothing falls through a chat scroll. It is the single feature couples planning across time zones tell us changes everything.

Guests, from RSVP to room number

The portal's guest module is built to carry each guest from invitation to departure: per-guest RSVPs with individual links, party sizes, which events they're invited to, food preferences, arrival and departure details, and — for destination weddings — which property and room they're staying in. The guest photo wall lets everyone contribute pictures through a simple access code, moderated before anything appears.

The money, in the open

Payment records connect to the production plan for your wedding, so what has been paid, to whom, for what, is a page in your workspace — not a reconciliation exercise across bank statements and memory.

Why This Exists — the honest version

We built this for ourselves first. A multi-day wedding is hundreds of decisions and dozens of vendors; our own team runs every wedding on the same system — a production sheet for each project, our in-house decor inventory of 1,600+ catalogued pieces reserved per wedding, and a venue-intelligence database covering 420 properties. The couple portal is the client-facing window into that operating system. That's the difference between software as a marketing feature and software the company actually runs on.

For couples planning from abroad it matters most: the portal is the answer to the 3am question, in your time zone, without waiting for India to wake up. It is one of the reasons families overseas plan whole weddings with us having visited India only once — or not at all — before the wedding week.

How This Compares — plainly

Three kinds of "wedding tech" exist, and they are not the same thing. Planning platforms like WedMeGood, The Knot or Zola give you self-serve checklists — useful, but there is no planner behind them; you are the project manager. In the US and UK, planners rent client portals from software companies like Aisle Planner or Planning Pod — the tool is real, but it is generic software with the planner's logo on it. And in India's luxury tier, the houses that plan weddings like ours run them on WhatsApp threads, spreadsheets and PDF decks, with guest management sold as a human concierge service.

Panigrahana sits in a fourth category, and as far as we have been able to establish, alone in it among Indian wedding planners: a design-led wedding house that built its own software — one system where design approvals, meeting minutes, decisions, guest logistics down to room numbers, and payments live together, written by the same firm that designs and executes the wedding. The tech-enabled wedding startups that do have apps are volume platforms, not design studios; the design studios have craft but no software. We are the odd ones who wanted both.
