Shangri-La Bengaluru Is Now Artezia Bengaluru: What It Means for Weddings

Shangri-La Bengaluru on Palace Road now operates as Artezia Bengaluru. What the change means for weddings and functions booked at the hotel.

The Palace Road hotel that opened as Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru in 2015 now operates as Artezia Bengaluru. Shangri-La's own website says the group no longer manages the property. It is the same building at 56-6B Palace Road. If you booked a wedding or function under the old name, confirm the contract, your events contact and the banquet details in writing.

Is it the same hotel?

Yes. The building is the 19-storey hotel at 56-6B Palace Road in Vasanth Nagar, close to Bangalore Palace, which opened as Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru in September 2015. Hotel listings now carry the Artezia Bengaluru name with the same address and the same room count of 397.

What has changed is the operator. Shangri-La's Bengaluru page now says the group no longer manages the property and cannot take reservations for it. Maps, older invitations and some booking sites may still show the Shangri-La name for a while.

What should you do if you booked a function under the Shangri-La name?

Ask the hotel's events team to confirm, in writing, the company named on your agreement, the person who now looks after your booking, the menu and per-plate rates you agreed, and the banquet spaces with their capacities.

Ask as well about the rules that shape decor and production: whether outside decorators and caterers are allowed, set-up and dismantling hours, open flames and lamps, sound cut-off times and where floor lighting can draw power. Keep the answers with your contract.

Does the change affect decor and planning at the hotel?

The banquet spaces, the entrances and the arrival areas are where they were. We designed a half saree ceremony there in October 2026, with a jasmine and red rose entrance, a gallery-wall stage and a vintage wishing desk, and the design study shows each part.

On our website the hotel appears as Artezia Bengaluru (formerly Shangri-La), so a search under either name finds the same venue page and costs.
