Sri Lanka Wedding Planner
India's leading destination wedding studio with full production capability in Sri Lanka. Cape Weligama, Amanwella, Galle Fort, Colombo. We travel with every wedding.
Most Indian families planning a Sri Lanka wedding face the same problem: Indian planners who manage remotely, and local Sri Lanka planners who don't understand Indian ceremonies. Panigrahana solves this by doing both — we are an Indian wedding studio with permanent operational presence in Sri Lanka. Our lead coordinator travels to Sri Lanka for every site survey, every vendor meeting, and every wedding we produce. We are on-ground, not on a phone call from Bangalore.
Our relationships with Sri Lanka's top venue teams are built over years of direct collaboration. The Cape Weligama resort team knows our setup requirements. The Amanwella kitchen team has been briefed on South Indian dietary requirements by our food coordinator. The Amangalla management understands our production timelines and gives us the access windows we need for decor setup. These relationships mean that what looks seamless to your family is the result of thousands of hours of prior negotiation and calibration.
We understand Indian ceremonies in their complete complexity — muhurtham timing, agni fire ceremony (and the Sri Lanka permit process for open flames at beach resorts), the physical requirements of a proper mandap structure, the logistical needs of a multi-function celebration spread across 3–4 days. Local Sri Lanka planners, however skilled at hotel logistics, cannot navigate these requirements. We can — because we have done it many times before.
For NRI families, we offer particular value: we speak to Indian relatives in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu as needed; we understand the family dynamics of an Indian destination wedding; and we have experience managing the specific anxieties of grandparents, aunts, and uncles who have never left India on a destination wedding trip. Managing people is as important as managing logistics — and we are very good at both.
Site surveys, venue negotiations, contract review, and date securing across all Sri Lanka regions. We know which venues have hidden charges and which contracts have landmines.
Full concept design — mood boards, colour palette, mandap design, stage, entrance installations, florals. Items fabricated in India and transported or manufactured locally.
Priest coordination (Indian priests travel on ETA), muhurtham timing verification, agni fire ceremony setup and permits, sacred item procurement in Sri Lanka.
Indian menu briefing for resort kitchens, tasting coordination, catering vendor management for large Colombo weddings. We bridge Indian food expectations with Sri Lankan kitchen capability.
Photography, videography, entertainment, hair and makeup — our Sri Lanka vendor network is pre-vetted. We engage Indian vendors who travel when required for high-priority roles.
ETA guidance for all guests, flight recommendation, ground transfers from Colombo airport to south coast venues, accommodation blocking and rooming lists.
A Sri Lanka wedding planner manages the entire production from India — venue negotiation, in-country vendor coordination, decor design and fabrication, priest logistics, catering brief, and day-of production management. Panigrahana's team travels to Sri Lanka for every wedding — we are on-ground throughout, not managing remotely from India.
Yes — a significant portion of our Sri Lanka weddings are for NRI families in the UK, US, Canada, UAE, Singapore, and Australia. We manage all communication across time zones, provide comprehensive digital planning documentation, and handle all India and Sri Lanka logistics. Sri Lanka is also one of the most accessible destinations for NRI guests — direct flights from London, Dubai, and Singapore into Colombo.
For south coast venues like Amanwella and Cape Weligama, begin conversations 12–18 months in advance. These resorts have limited capacity and December–March dates book out quickly. For Colombo five-star hotels, 9–12 months is usually sufficient. The earlier you engage us, the better the venue availability and date selection.
Yes. Our design studio in India creates all decor elements. Items are either fabricated locally in Sri Lanka using our vendor network, or manufactured in India and transported — by air for lightweight items, or by sea freight for larger installations. For south coast beach weddings, we lean on local materials (tropical florals, driftwood, natural textures) which often create more appropriate aesthetics than imported items.
Venue selection and contracting, design concept development, decor production and setup, lighting design, vendor coordination, priest and ceremony management, catering brief, guest ETA guidance, ground transfer coordination, day-of production timeline, and on-ground team throughout the wedding period. We are a single point of contact — you deal with us, we manage Sri Lanka.
Tell us your vision, your guest count, and your date range. We'll recommend the right venue, develop a full concept, and manage every detail from India to the island.
