Miraya Greens on Hennur Road offers something increasingly rare in Bangalore: a large outdoor venue where the horizon is uninterrupted by urban infrastructure. No mobile towers, no apartment blocks, no highway overhead. Just the open Karnataka sky and a flat green expanse that gives a wedding designer genuine freedom.

Aditya and Nithya's two-day wedding used the full property. Day One's mehendi occupied the front lawns, with a jasmine and marigold trail — 800 metres of continuous floral pathway — laid from the property entrance to the ceremony space, creating a procession route that guests walked both directions throughout the day. The scent alone, in the December cool, was its own event.

Day Two's ceremony was designed around the sky. With no structural backdrop of any significance, our team built a mandap that was essentially a transparent structure — four gossamer fabric columns and a floating canopy of hand-tied white flowers — that the eye would pass through to reach the blue of the December Bangalore sky beyond. The photographs look like the couple is marrying inside the sky itself.

East Bangalore families turned out for both days in full — the Krishnan family's community connections meant guests arrived from across the city. Nithya later wrote: 'I grew up in Hennur Road. Every relative I have was at that wedding. And the place looked better than anywhere I have been in my life.' That pride of place — a beautiful wedding in your own neighbourhood — is its own category of gift.
