The season matters enormously. October through March brings Goa's legendary dry weather — blue skies, temperatures between 26–32°C, and the light that makes every photograph look like it belongs in Vogue. An 80–120 guest celebration at a good 4-star Goa resort runs ₹35–55 lakh all-in (venue and catering, decor, photography, planning and transfers), so ₹35 lakh is workable with a disciplined guest list and one or two functions rather than three. A 150-guest three-day celebration at a premium 4-star runs ₹50–80 lakh, and luxury 5-star properties like Taj Exotica or The Leela run ₹1.2–1.8 crore for 200 guests. For a peak season (October–March) Goa wedding, we recommend beginning conversations at least 12–18 months in advance. Ask each shortlisted property for current availability and a written hold for your chosen dates; historic booking patterns do not guarantee availability.

Yes. Beach ceremonies in Goa require permissions from local Panchayat authorities and, in some cases, the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) body. Panigrahana handles all permit applications as part of our full-service engagement. We have existing relationships with the relevant authorities and manage this process efficiently and correctly.
The common Indian convention is that hosts cover accommodation and guests cover their own travel. Many couples living abroad follow the overseas norm instead, where guests book and pay for their own rooms — and that is a perfectly accepted model in Goa. Either way works because resorts hold group room blocks at a negotiated rate: you can take the block on your own bill, or we share a booking link so guests pay the same negotiated rate themselves. Decide the model early — it changes the room-night commitment the resort asks of you, and we put it to the venue before contracts are drawn.
Your family flies with outfits and jewellery, nothing else. Decor never travels in anyone's checked baggage: our sets are designed and fabricated in-house and moved to the venue by our own production team, florals are sourced fresh for the date, and welcome hampers are assembled in Goa. Couples worry about 15kg airline limits far more than they need to — if a thing is heavier than a lehenga, it is our problem, not yours.

Separate the venue's responsibilities from the planner's and each supplier's. Ask who resolves a missed handoff, who can approve additional spending, and how you will be told about delays. A portfolio shows completed work; use a scope, a named delivery lead and an example progress record to understand how your own wedding would be managed. Record the agreed terms before payment.

Check taxes, service charges, power, vendor access, extra time, transport, accommodation outside the event nights and guest-paid items. A missing line is not proof of a hidden charge. Keep confirmed prices separate from estimates and show the source and validity of each quotation. Additional guests change applicable costs; they do not automatically increase every fixed fee.
Compare quotes and cost changesSeparate existing venue architecture from hired decor and furniture. Review a proposed design alongside its itemised scope: dimensions, seating, materials, flowers, lighting and installation. Label reference images and illustrative models clearly, and confirm substitutions before approving them.
An attractive render does not verify venue measurements or booking inclusions. Ask which dimensions are measured and which are provisional. Check guest sightlines and movement as well as the camera view. Save the approved version and the linked price so later changes can be compared against the same brief.
