Wedding decor production house for planners, event companies and designers
Panigrahana is a wedding decor production house with production warehouses in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala. Our own carpenters, welders and florists build the decor, and our designers work alongside them, so design and build sit with one team. Wedding planners, event companies and designers can send us a drawing or a moodboard and have it built.
We also plan weddings for couples, so agree client-protection terms in writing before you share your client's details with us. Until then, send the brief without them: the drawing, the venue, the dates and what needs building. We reply within 24 hours, and the first step is a conversation.
This page covers what we build and who builds it, how a job runs from drawing to site, what builds cost at our own weddings, how Bangalore, Goa and Kerala differ for an outstation team, what to ask any production house, us included, and the site safety questions to put before a pandal goes up.

What our decor production house builds
This is decor fabrication: the physical set of a wedding, built in a warehouse, loaded into a venue, installed and struck. You may call it event fabrication, set fabrication or decor execution. It does not mean sound and light. Sound, LED and show-calling are a separate scope, set out on our wedding production page.
| Element | What it covers | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|
| Structures and sets | Stage frames, backdrops, entrances, aisles and pathways, nameboards | Our carpenters and welders |
| Mandaps | Structure, florals, riser, carpet, seating and design, built as one piece of work | Our carpenters, welders and florists, with our designers |
| Florals | Floral design and installation for mandaps, stages, entrances and tables | Our florists, working with fresh flowers bought from flower suppliers |
| Fabric | Draping, ceilings, backdrops and carpet | Our team. At our own weddings, carpet and fabric are new for every event |
| Furniture | Stage and lounge furniture and guest seating | Our stock, plus hired pieces where a design needs them. At our own weddings, chairs are repainted before every event |
| Lighting | The lighting plan for the decor, coordinated with the set | We plan it with the decor and coordinate it on site. Equipment is hired where the job needs it, and itemised |
| Sound, LED and show-calling | Technical production for sangeets and receptions | A separate scope: see our wedding production page |
One job shows the range. Minole and Mir's reception at Mukta Hall, Chamara Vajra, in Bangalore needed 7,400 flowers hand-stitched from waste fabric, with every panel patchworked from tailoring offcuts, old sarees and mill waste. That was weeks of tailoring before anything reached the venue.
Who builds the decor, and what do we buy in?
Our own carpenters, welders and florists build Panigrahana decor from our production warehouses in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala. Our designers work alongside them, so a question about a joint, a finish or a stem count goes to the person who drew it. Goa and Kerala each have a local team led by a founding team member.
We do buy things in. Depending on the job, we hire sound and technical kit, lighting, generators, extra furniture, transport and extra hands, and fresh flowers come from flower suppliers. Our own teams make the decor. Anything we hire is itemised in your proposal, so you can see which lines are ours and which are not.
Since 2018 the studio has delivered 500+ weddings, 80+ of them in Goa. Ask who will be on your job, by name, and judge us on that answer.
What should planners ask before hiring a wedding floral contractor?
Ask who makes the floral work and how substitutions are approved, because flowers took about 30% of the latest Panigrahana decor invoices, read on 8 October 2026, and our own florists do that work from our warehouses in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala.
Flowers are the largest line on those invoices, so ask for variety, grade and quantity for each piece instead of one lump sum. Agree in writing which substitutions need your approval before anyone orders. Ask who leads the install on site and when the flowers reach it. At our own builds, fresh flowers come from flower suppliers, and anything we hire is itemised in your proposal. Send the drawing or moodboard and we can talk through the floral scope.

You also plan weddings. What about my client?
It is a fair question, and you should ask it. We plan weddings for couples as well as taking decor builds from other teams. So agree client-protection terms in writing before you share your client's name or details with us.
What to settle in writing first
- Who speaks to the client, and whether all contact runs through you.
- What happens if the client approaches us directly, during the job or after it.
- Whether our name appears on site, on the crew or on any paper the client sees.
- Who may photograph the work, who gets credited, and where those photographs can appear.
- Who owns your drawings, and whether any of them can be reused.
- Whether you want a non-solicit clause, and what your own lawyer advises.
This page sets no terms. The terms of a job are the ones both sides sign, and your own lawyer should read them.
How a job runs, from drawing to site
- Brief. You send the drawing, moodboard or reference, the venue, the dates and what needs building.
- Venue check. We go through access hours, where the truck stops, lift size, power, rigging points and the property's rules on outside decorators, and ask the venue to confirm them in writing.
- Drawing check. We read your drawing for dimensions, materials, loads and finish, and mark what has to change for the site. If you have a moodboard and no drawing, our designers can take it through 2D layouts and 3D mock-ups.
- Itemised quote. The written proposal lists structures, flowers, fabric, furniture, labour, transport, installation, strike and anything hired, with amounts, due dates and milestones.
- Sign-off. Whoever holds the design approves one drawing revision. If a finish or a joint is hard to judge on paper, ask for a mock-up first.
- Build. Carpenters and welders fabricate at the warehouse, florists prepare the floral work, and designers check the build against the drawing.
- Load-in and install. The crew works to the venue's access window, with a site lead agreed in advance. Our standard is to finish at least 2 hours before the event and run a sound and light test.
- Handover and strike. Walk the set with our site lead before guests arrive. After the event the crew dismantles and clears inside the venue's strike window.
Agree at the start that changes after sign-off are written down and priced before anyone builds them. The same drawing is a different job at a different venue, so the quote should state the site it assumes.
Ask any production house for its worst day. Here is one of ours, in a couple's words, from a WedMeGood certified review of January 2026.
“At 1 a.m. on the morning of our wedding, it started pouring, and our entire outdoor venue was destroyed. Our decorators worked through the night, hand-padding the venue, repainting, and completely rebuilding the mandap in just a few hours.”
What do decor builds cost at Panigrahana?
We do not publish trade rates, because a build is priced from its drawing, its site and its dates. For scale, here is what mandaps and reception stages came to at our own weddings, from our decor invoices as of 8 October 2026. Treat them as a sense of size, not a rate card.
| Build | Simple | Signature | Statement | Included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mandap | ₹90,000 to ₹1.5 lakh | ₹3 lakh to ₹4 lakh | ₹9 lakh to ₹15 lakh | Structure, florals, riser, carpet, seating and design |
| Reception stage | ₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh | ₹4 lakh to ₹6 lakh | ₹10 lakh to ₹12 lakh | Fabric and florals |
A whole wedding is several builds. Across the 52 weddings we quoted full decor for, the median came to ₹10.6 lakh before GST (middle half ₹6 lakh to ₹22 lakh), and the 35 weddings that went ahead contracted a median of ₹14.2 lakh, on costing records checked 24 October 2026. Both figures cover weddings dated 2026 and 2027, count all functions plus transport and labour lines, and leave out the planning fee. Our decor for couples starts at ₹5 lakh plus GST.
Should planners buy a mandap from a manufacturer or build it?
Buy from a manufacturer when a catalogue size fits the venue and build when the design has to fit the site, knowing the mandaps Panigrahana built to October 2026 cost ₹90,000 to ₹15 lakh with structure, florals, riser, carpet, seating and design included, on decor invoices read on 8 October 2026.
A manufacturer's price usually covers the piece alone, so add florals, riser, carpet, seating, transport and installation before you compare it with a built figure. Before you order, check the ceiling height, floor loading and access at the venue against the manufacturer's dimensions, and ask whether the frame comes apart to fit the service lift. We do not run a hire catalogue, so for a plain set piece a catalogue or hire firm may suit you better. For a mandap drawn to the site, send the drawing, the venue and the dates, and we will check it before we quote.

Stage and set fabrication in Bangalore and the Karnataka belt
Bangalore is our home base. Our Bangalore team builds from our Bangalore warehouse, and there is no team travel charge here, in Goa or in Kerala. We also work across the drive-to Karnataka belt: Coorg, Chikmagalur, Mysore, Kabini, Hampi, Nandi Hills, Sakleshpur and Bandipur.
What catches an outstation team in Bangalore
- City hotels have loading bays, service lifts and rigging policies, and also approved-vendor lists, fixed access hours and crew security checks. Get outside-decorator approval in writing before anyone pays a deposit.
- Kalyana mantapas often come with a fixed hall, a fixed mandap position, a decorator panel and back-to-back bookings. Ask what can change before you draw.
- An early muhurtham can need the mandap complete and lit before dawn. That means an overnight build and an overnight access clause.
- A truck crossing the city at the wrong hour loses the morning. Plan every vehicle movement around the traffic windows, above all for venues past the airport towards Nandi Hills.
- September and October showers make an indoor version necessary for outdoor functions. Draw it at the same time as the outdoor one.
How should an outstation planner check vendor rules at Bangalore wedding venues?
On Panigrahana booking records checked 8 October 2026, most Bangalore venues charge no outside-vendor fee, and the exceptions are the venues at Bangalore Palace Grounds, Wiwaha, the Le Roma group and Royal Orchid, the one five-star hotel brand that charges it.
These venues keep a panel of empanelled vendors, so a decorator from outside the panel pays a fee to work there. If your build lands at one of them, get the amount in writing before your client signs. The five-star hotels we book let an outside decorator in without a fee, Royal Orchid being the one exception. Load-in hours and rigging rules apply everywhere, fee or not, so ask the venue for both when you ask it to approve your decorator.

Event fabrication in Goa for outstation planners
Our Goa team, led by a founding team member, builds from our Goa warehouse, so a Goa job does not begin with a truck crossing a state line. We have delivered 80+ weddings in Goa.
What Goa changes
- Salt air attacks metal, so our metal stock gets a red-oxide coating every 4 weeks. Ask any fabricator how they maintain theirs.
- The coast faces west and the breeze builds through the afternoon. Tie everything down properly, and design tall elements so they can come down in minutes.
- Sand is a poor foundation. Laid flooring on a beach is the base of the structure as well as the walking surface for guests.
- Beach and shoreline setups need property permission and coastal-zone clearance, separate from the venue booking. Start that process early.
- Sound cut-offs are actively enforced. Get the venue's limit in writing and plan the strike noise around it too.
- December fills crew rooms, vehicles and local labour. Lock the dates as early as you can.
Event fabrication in Kerala for outstation planners
Our Kerala team, led by a founding team member, builds from our Kerala warehouse. Kerala rewards building later and lighter, because access and moisture decide the job more than scale does.
What Kerala changes
- Some backwater resorts are reached by boat. Every crate, frame, light and flower then arrives on a schedule, with a weight limit and no quick way to fetch what is missing.
- Narrow approach roads decide the size of vehicle that can reach a site, and often force a transfer to smaller vehicles.
- Humidity shortens the life of fresh flowers and affects fabric, paper and adhesives. We choose drape fabrics that do not absorb humidity quickly, source flowers as late as the schedule allows and budget a top-up on the morning of the function.
- A temple or church ceremony and a reception on one day means two builds, and two crews or one crew moving under time pressure.
- Sadya service sets the table and service-lane layout before any decor is placed.
- The wet calendar is long: the south-west monsoon from around June and the north-east monsoon from October to December. Draw the indoor version as standard.
Can a Mumbai or Hyderabad planner hire Panigrahana to build decor?
Yes for a wedding in Bangalore, Goa or Kerala, where Panigrahana builds from its own production warehouses with no team travel charge, under company policy confirmed on 4 October 2026.
Send the drawing or moodboard, the venue and the dates from wherever you are based. Goa and Kerala each have a local team led by a founding team member. A build inside Mumbai, Hyderabad or Delhi sits outside that policy, so ask us before you draw it, and we will tell you whether we can take it on. We also plan weddings for couples, so agree client-protection terms in writing before you share your client's details.

What to ask any decor production house, including us
A portfolio shows the best day. These questions show the rest. Use them on us or on anyone, and if you are comparing two houses, put the same list to both and compare the answers, not the photographs.
| Ask | A useful answer |
|---|---|
| Who will build this? Which trades are on your own payroll? | Names the trades, the people and the warehouse, and says plainly what is hired for the job |
| What is hired in, and will I see it in the quote? | Anything hired sits on its own line, not folded into a lump sum |
| What else are you building that weekend? | A straight count of jobs and crews on your dates, and who moves if one overruns |
| Who is my lead, and can I meet them before I book? | A named person who will be on site, and a named deputy |
| Can I see the workshop, with work in progress? | A date to visit and a job on the floor, beyond finished photographs |
| Show me a drawing beside the finished build. | Scale drawings with dimensions and materials, and a photograph of the same set installed |
| Will you mock up the difficult part? | A sample of the joint, finish or floral density, priced before you commit |
| What was your worst build day, and what did you do? | A specific story: what failed, who called whom, what changed afterwards |
| Have you built at this venue? If not, how will you check it? | Lift size, truck access, installation timings and rigging rules, in writing |
| How do you price a change after sign-off? | A written change note with its cost, approved before anyone builds it |
| How fast do you reply during a build? | A stated reply time, and a named person who warns you early about a delay |
| What insurance and backups do you hold? | Certificates that cover the venue and dates, and a plan for a failed truck, crew or delivery |
| What do I owe at each stage if the wedding is cancelled? | Deposit, materials, labour and balance set out by stage, in writing |
| Who owns the drawings afterwards? | A clear answer on reuse and portfolio use, in writing |
Put the same list to us. If an answer falls short, you are better off knowing before a client's wedding depends on it.
How do wedding planners find a reliable decor vendor in Bangalore?
Start with the venue's rules, because Panigrahana's booking records read on 8 October 2026 show the venues at Bangalore Palace Grounds, Wiwaha and the Le Roma group work with empanelled vendors and charge an outside decorator a fee, while most Bangalore venues we book charge none.
Ask for the venue's approved list and its outside-decorator rule in writing before you shortlist, so a fee does not reach your client as a surprise. Then ask each decor vendor for a date to see the workshop with work on the floor, a named site lead and a list of what is hired in. If you want to try us, send a drawing, the venue and the dates without your client's name. Our own carpenters, welders and florists build from our Bangalore warehouse, and we reply within 24 hours.

Site safety questions to ask before a pandal goes up
IS 8758:2013 is the Bureau of Indian Standards code of practice on fire precautions in temporary structures and pandals. Its scope covers temporary structures used by public and private functions for outdoor assembly, which can include a wedding pandal on a lawn. It is the second revision of the standard, and BIS now lists the 1993 edition (IS 8758:1993) as withdrawn.
We print it as a public reference for the questions worth asking, not as a claim that any build, ours included, complies with it or is certified against it. Whether it binds a particular job depends on the local authority and the venue, so confirm that in writing and read the standard itself.
| Ask | What IS 8758:2013 says | Clause |
|---|---|---|
| Is there a permit, and for what period? | A temporary structure needs a special permit from the authority for a limited period, and comes down when the period ends | 3.1.1, 3.1.2 |
| Are the fabrics treated? | Fabrics and decorative clothing conform to IS 15612 (Part 1) and IS 15741, combustible materials are treated with a fire retardant, and decor materials should not generate toxic smoke or fumes | 3.2, 3.6 |
| Is there any paper or synthetic decoration? | No decorative paper or synthetic material anywhere in the pandal or structure | 3.5 |
| What are the ropes made of? | No nylon or synthetic ropes. Ropes of coir, manila or coconut fibre, treated with fire retardant | 3.7 |
| Is it braced for wind? | Guyed or braced to withstand a wind pressure of 0.98 kN/m² | 3.8 |
| How high is it? | Ceiling at least 3 m from the ground, corridors and passageways at least 3 m high | 3.4, 3.9 |
| How much clear space surrounds it? | 4.5 m on all sides from adjacent buildings or structures, and at least 2 m from live wires | 4.1, 4.2 |
| Can a fire engine reach it? | A gate with a 5 m clear opening, any archway at least 5 m high, and no part of the structure more than 45 m from the motorable road | 5.1, 5.2 |
| Where are the exits? | At least two exits, each at least 2.5 m wide, at opposite ends, and no seat more than 15 m from an exit | 7.3, 7.5 |
| Who does the electrics? | A licensed contractor installs the temporary lighting. No twisted or tapped joints, no part of the circuit within 15 cm of decor, no halogen lamps inside | 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.5 |
| What about the homam or havan? | No fireworks or open flame in or near the structure, apart from small controlled fires for religious purposes | 9.3, 9.4 |
| What is on site if something catches? | Two fire buckets per 50 m² and one 9 litre water extinguisher per 100 m² of floor space, a CO2 or ABC dry powder extinguisher at each switch gear, main meter and stage area, and a responsible person on site to organise evacuation | 10.2, 10.4 |
| Has the fire service been told? | For public functions, advance intimation to the fire service department of the location, size and type of structure, people expected and exits | 10.3 |

For crew safety, the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) publishes HSE Pictorial Standard Operating Procedures covering harness use, manual handling, scaffold climbing, work at height, electrical earthing, wiring, barricading, hot work and temporary kitchens. Its note says event agencies need to work with partners who follow these procedures. Ask any fabricator which of them its crew is briefed on, and ask to see it happen on site.

Questions planners ask
What does a wedding decor production house do?
A wedding decor production house builds the physical decor of a wedding: structures, stages, mandaps, florals, furniture and fabric. It works from a design, fabricates in a workshop or warehouse, then loads in, installs and strikes at the venue. Panigrahana does this from production warehouses in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala, with its own carpenters, welders and florists.
Is a decor production house the same as a wedding production company?
No. A wedding production company usually means sound, light, LED, staging and show-calling. A decor production house means the people who fabricate the set and make the florals. Some firms do both. Panigrahana's wedding production page covers the technical scope, and this page covers the decor build.
How do wedding planners work with a decor production house?
The planner or designer holds the client and the design, and the production house builds it. You send the drawing, the venue and the dates. The house checks the drawing against the site, gives an itemised quote, builds the decor, loads in, installs and strikes. Agree in writing who speaks to the client and who leads on site before work starts.
Does Panigrahana build decor for other wedding planners?
Yes. We take decor build briefs from wedding planners, event companies and designers for weddings in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala. We also plan weddings for couples, so agree client-protection terms in writing before you share your client's details with us.
Can you execute my design from my drawing?
Yes. Send the drawing with its dimensions and materials and the venue, and we will check it against the site before we quote. If you have a moodboard and no drawing, our designers can take it through 2D layouts and 3D mock-ups first.
Do you hire or buy in anything?
Yes. Our own teams make the decor. Depending on the job, we hire sound and technical kit, lighting, generators, extra furniture, transport and extra hands, and fresh flowers come from flower suppliers. Anything we hire is itemised in your proposal.
Do you publish trade rates?
No. We quote each build from its drawing, site and dates, and the proposal is itemised. For scale, mandaps at our own weddings have cost ₹90,000 to ₹15 lakh and reception stages ₹80,000 to ₹12 lakh, from our decor invoices as of 8 October 2026.
Does IS 8758 apply to a wedding pandal?
IS 8758:2013 covers the fire safety of temporary structures, including pandals, used by public and private functions for outdoor assembly. Whether it binds a particular job depends on the local authority and the venue, so confirm that in writing. It is a useful checklist either way: fabrics, ropes, wind bracing, exits, electrics and extinguishers.
Will you contact my client directly?
Settle that with us in writing before any client details are shared. We also plan weddings for couples, so ask the question directly. Until terms are signed, send the brief without your client's name.
Can I visit your production warehouse?
Ask us. A visit is the fairest test of any production house's claims, ours included. Meetings are by appointment, so tell us which city the job is in and we will talk through a time.
Can you be the local production partner for an overseas planner?
Yes, for weddings in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala. Send the drawing, the venue and the dates, and our team in that market works from our warehouse there. Ask us for the same written scope, named lead and site safety answers you would ask of a supplier at home.
Do you work outside Bangalore, Goa and Kerala?
Our own teams and warehouses are in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala, and we also work across the drive-to Karnataka belt, including Coorg, Mysore and Hampi. For a wedding in Thailand, Bali or Europe, send the brief and we will tell you what can travel and what has to be sourced locally.
