Thirty acres of coffee and jackfruit trees, a colonial-era farmhouse, and a 200-guest wedding under the canopy of old-growth trees that produced some of the most photographically extraordinary images our team has created in Bangalore.

Amita Rasa on Kanakapura Road sits on 30 acres of coffee and jackfruit trees, a working estate with a colonial-era farmhouse at its centre. It is one of Bangalore's most quietly spectacular wedding venues precisely because it does not announce itself — no grand entrance gate, no hotel lobby, no curated arrival sequence. You drive through trees and arrive in an estate that has been there for a century.

Karthik and Sneha's 200-guest wedding used the full estate: a morning ceremony under the oldest jackfruit tree on the property, a mehendi in the farmhouse courtyard, and a reception on the main lawn as the November light shifted from gold to amber. The mandap was constructed without any structural uprights — the tree itself served as one anchor point, with tensioned lines running to four ground stakes.

The forest setting created a photographic challenge that our production team relished: the dappled light under the canopy changes every five minutes as the sun moves through the leaves. Rather than fighting it with fill lighting, we designed the ceremony timing to use the most dramatic natural light moment — approximately 10:30am, when the sun angle creates the longest shadows and the brightest highlights simultaneously.

Sneha, who is a botanist, walked through the estate the morning after the wedding before anyone else was awake. She told us she found the jackfruit tree again and stood under it for twenty minutes. 'I wanted to remember what it felt like before it became the place I got married,' she said. 'Now it will always be both things.'
