Amita Rasa is ₹16 lakh per day for the whole estate, taxes extra. That is the rate Panigrahana has booked it at, and the venue's own WedMeGood listing shows the same ₹16,00,000 per function. It buys exclusive use of all 28 acres, every one of the five settings and all seven bedrooms, with no other event on the property. Catering, decor, transport and accommodation beyond those rooms are separate. Ask the venue to confirm in writing for your dates.

No. Amita Rasa has no per-plate rate and no minimum guarantee, because it does not cater. The venue is a flat day rental and you appoint your own caterer, who quotes you directly with 18% GST on their bill. The estate provides a full commercial kitchen for them. That is the structural difference from a hotel wedding: your food cost tracks your menu and your caterer, not a banquet panel's tariff.

Yes to both, and this is the single biggest reason couples choose it. The venue's listing records outside catering only and outside decorators permitted; outside alcohol and an outside DJ are permitted too, with no in-house alcohol or DJ service. So the design team, the kitchen and the bar are all yours to appoint. The trade is that your decorator now owns load-in windows, power distribution and a 28-acre logistics plan.

The largest single space is the Mantapa at 650 seated and 800 floating, and the venue's listing describes the property as a 300–800 pax venue. The Kalyani amphitheatre takes 400–600, each of the two lawns 300–350, and the Aahara dining hall 500–600 across two floors. Because all five settings come with the buyout, a multi-day programme moves between them without anything being struck and rebuilt.

Seven bedrooms, across two villas — Bhoomi has four and Akasha three — and they are included in the daily rental. That is the entire on-site capacity, so almost every wedding here runs with guests nearby. The venue's own site says 62 rooms can be reserved at a neighbouring resort. Our couples also use Mulberry Shades, the Devanahalli airport-belt hotels, and the nearby resorts Kosh and Discovery Village. Decide who sleeps on the estate before you build the guest list.

The venue's own site gives 34 km and about 45 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, and 55 km and about 1 hour 15 minutes from the Bangalore city centre. It sits at the foot of the Nandi Hills climb, next to Kanive Nandeeshwara Temple, in Chikkaballapur district. For guests flying in, a direct airport-to-estate transfer is far simpler than routing them through the city first.

Haldi on a lawn in the morning, mehendi in the Kalyani through the afternoon, sangeet on the same lit stone steps after dark, the muhurtham in the Mantapa at dawn and the reception in the Mantapa or across the combined lawns that evening, with every meal through the Aahara. Nothing has to be struck between functions, because no one is coming in behind you.

Less than you would fear. Of the five settings, only the Baagh and Aangan lawns are open sky — the Mantapa is a roofed stone pavilion, the Aahara is fully built, and the Kalyani's geometry drains. So the muhurtham, the reception and all the meals already sit under cover, and rain mainly threatens a haldi or a cocktail hour on the grass. We pre-rig a covered fallback for the lawn functions in every month, not just monsoon.

Outside alcohol is permitted and there is no in-house bar; outside DJs are permitted and there is no in-house DJ. So both come from your vendors. Karnataka's rules on amplified open-air sound generally end loud music around 10 pm and the estate confirms its own cut-off for your date — get it in writing. A private 28-acre property with no neighbouring event gives more latitude than a city hall, but the written policy is what counts.

October to February. The foothills run cooler than the city and the dry-season light suits the granite. November to January is peak and those dates go 12–18 months ahead, because the estate hosts one wedding at a time — a date is either free or gone. December and January evenings get properly cold at this elevation, so warn guests to layer. June to September brings hill mist, which photographs beautifully if the lawn functions already have cover.

Yes, and many families do. The venue publishes a full Matterport 3D walkthrough of the estate, so you can walk the Mantapa, the Kalyani and the grounds in 360° at midnight from another continent. Only the estate can confirm that, and we check the date with it for you. Amita Rasa takes one event at a time (amitarasa.com, checked 27 September 2026), so a date is either free or gone. October to February is the season, and November to January dates usually go 12 to 18 months ahead: ask now about winter 2027.

It needs planning rather than luck. The estate sits on a gentle incline and there are level changes between the five settings, so we keep the ceremony and the meal close together, reserve the seven estate bedrooms and front seating for grandparents, and agree vehicle drop-off at each space with the venue instead of making people walk it. Ask the venue about step-free routes for the spaces you are using; the built halls themselves are flat once you are inside.

Aggregator listings and our own venue records both put it at around 500 vehicles; the venue's own site says ample parking and its WedMeGood listing says sufficient parking is available, neither with a number. Either way it is generous for a destination estate, and most 300-guest weddings run without a shuttle for self-drive guests. We still post attendants at the gate so the area fills in order rather than front-to-back.

Panigrahana — an architect-founded design and planning studio in Bangalore with a thirty-person in-house fabrication team, which has designed and built weddings on this estate. Every mandap and stage is drawn for one couple rather than pulled from a rental catalogue. That matters here specifically: the Mantapa and the Kalyani each have exactly one orientation that works, and finding it before the trucks arrive means drawing the wedding first.

Amita Rasa: Panigrahana has planned roughly 300 weddings for families living abroad across 12 countries, and the shape that works is one focused trip rather than three short ones. Days 1–2 land and rest; day 3 walk Amita Rasa and lock the spaces; days 4–6 menu tasting, decor sign-off and trials; days 7–8 shopping and jewellery; days 9–10 family arrivals and rehearsal; days 11–13 the functions; day 14 departure. The property is 34 km from the airport, which matters on the day family lands and again on the morning everyone leaves. Everything before that trip runs on video walkthroughs and the couple portal. An INR quote fixes the invoice currency, not your cost in another currency. The amount paid from abroad can change with the exchange rate and provider fees.

Amita Rasa has 7 rooms, and guests flying in are the ones who need them: the family that lands at 3 am, the elderly relatives who cannot do a daily transfer, and anyone with a connecting flight home. Hold those rooms for the overseas list first and put local guests in a nearby hotel, not the other way round. 7 rooms sleep roughly 14 people, so anything above that needs a block held before the invitations go out. Panigrahana negotiates the block, runs the rooming list and schedules airport transfers against actual flight numbers.
