Mirror ceiling panels, a live drone light show, a mandap of reclaimed teak and suspended copper lamps — the most design-forward wedding our studio has produced in Bangalore.

Raghav and Divya's guest list was almost entirely drawn from Bangalore's technology industry — engineers, product managers, designers, and founders who had collectively attended hundreds of conventional wedding productions. The brief was explicit: do something that none of them had seen. The budget was significant. The mandate was novelty.

Moongate's industrial-chic venue in Electronic City — raw concrete, exposed steel, a vast uninterrupted floor plate — was the right canvas. Our team spent three weeks designing a transformation that would make the venue's industrial bones disappear entirely by the time guests arrived. Mirror ceiling panels, installed in a grid pattern across the full floor area, created a reflective sky above every guest. The effect, when the room lights came up for the reception, was of standing inside an infinite space.

The mandap was constructed entirely from reclaimed teak sourced from a demolished colonial-era building in Coorg, with 340 individual suspended copper oil lamps at varying heights creating a warm, intimate light source in the centre of the transformed industrial space. The contrast between the industrial surroundings and the handcrafted organic mandap was the visual argument of the event.

The drone light show — 120 drones, a 12-minute choreographed sequence above the venue's exterior terrace, visible from every window — was the moment that produced the loudest collective reaction of any event we have produced. Divya, who had been composed throughout the entire day, burst into tears when the drones assembled into the shape of her and Raghav's initials in the sky above Bangalore. 'I did not know that was happening,' she told us afterward. It was the one surprise we kept.
