A wedding quote is only comparable once its scope is visible. Read each line for what it includes, what it leaves out and what is charged separately — transport and logistics, generator and power, teardown, overtime, taxes and deposits, and whether the flower list is written down. Illustrative example. These numbers are synthetic, not supplier rates or completed wedding data. Assume 150 meal guests, 40 rooms for 2 nights, and two functions. Every rate below is only an arithmetic input.

Known cash needed for these lines and the deposit is ₹7,40,000 before unresolved taxes and charges. This is not a confirmed all-in total or final spend. Increasing only that meal from 150 to 200 guests adds ₹50,000 before tax; it does not increase the fixed production line. Other functions, suppliers and personal costs are excluded.
For families abroad, the illustrative ₹7,40,000 is about US$7,720, £5,830, AED 28,300, C$10,900 and A$11,000 at the 26 Sep 2026 rate; contracts are in INR. The rate is a display aid, not a quote.

Planning starts at ₹2 lakh per day for two events; decor starts at ₹5 lakh. Both exclude GST. Decor production depends on the design and is itemised in the decor proposal. Venue, accommodation, food and other suppliers are separate. Zero vendor commission does not mean in-house services are supplied without margin.
The agreed written proposal specifies payment amounts, due dates and delivery or approval milestones. No universal percentage split is promised.

Seven details to reconcile in a quote
Check the dates and duration; function spaces; guest and room quantities; design and material specifications; installation and removal; taxes and mandatory charges; and payment, change and cancellation terms. Ask the supplier to clarify each missing item rather than treating it as included.
Compare quotes line by line using the same scope. A meal rate, room rate and fixed production charge use different quantities. A deposit can affect cash needed without representing final spend. Keep unanswered lines visible until the supplier confirms them.

No. We never name or badmouth other vendors. The verdict is about the quote's structure — what's included, what's missing, which lines are above or below market bands — not about the company that wrote it.
What do you check in a wedding quote?
Seven things: (1) transport and logistics charges, (2) generator and power costs for outdoor venues, (3) teardown and cleanup fees, (4) overtime clauses, (5) taxes and damage deposits, (6) whether the flower list is specified in writing (variety and source), and (7) how each line compares with current market bands from the Panigrahana Wedding Cost Index (Q3 2026) — e.g. decor tiers of ₹3–5L essential, ₹5–12L signature, ₹12–20L luxury.
