NRI Wedding Desk: planner, decor and vendors in Bangalore, Goa and Kerala, from anywhere
The NRI Wedding Desk is Panigrahana's single point of contact for couples who live outside India and are marrying in Bangalore and around it, in Goa or in Kerala. One architect-founded studio plans the wedding, designs and builds the decor with its own team, and coordinates every other vendor category on your behalf — photography, catering, hair and makeup, mehendi, entertainment, priests, transport and guest hospitality — so you are not hiring eight separate suppliers across a nine-and-a-half-hour time difference. We have delivered approximately 300 weddings for couples living abroad out of 500+ since 2018, hold a 4.8 rating from 94 Google reviews, and take zero commission from any vendor: you see each supplier's own price and pay them directly. Everything agreed, approved and paid is recorded in your private couple portal, which you can read between calls from wherever you are.

- Approximately 300weddings for couples living abroad
- 500+weddings since 2018

- Zerovendor commission — you pay vendors directly
You do not have to find the vendors. That is the job.
How it works,
in five steps.
Every step below is something the site already documents. Where a step rests on a published process, the source is linked under it.
- 01
A first call in your time zone
You write in with a date, a destination and a rough guest count. We reply within 24 hours and set a call inside the studio's hours — Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST — that lands at a civil hour where you live. The person on that first call is a named person who stays reachable afterwards, not a shared inbox.
Studio hours and response time - 02
A shortlist with the costs attached
We come back with the venue and vendor shortlist, the written scopes behind each one, and the two or three decisions genuinely worth keeping for your days in India. Scopes are written in quantities and hours rather than adjectives, so two quotes can actually be compared.
How we shortlist vendors from a distance - 03
The design, drawn before it is built
The wedding is resolved on paper first: palette, materials, guest flow, sightlines, then an original mandap and decor concept drawn for you rather than pulled from a rental catalogue, then production drawings and in-house fabrication. Four concept rounds come before you see the first full set, and revisions are not capped.
The seven stages of the Method - 04
Vendor coordination, at cost
We brief, book and run the other vendor categories for you and pass them through at cost. We take no commission from any vendor and hold no client money for them — couples pay their vendors directly, and the portal carries a payment schedule itemised per vendor with every due date and paid date.
The per-vendor payment ledger - 05
An on-ground desk for your family
Five named people are attached to every wedding: your first call, your planner, a production lead, a head of operations and a finance contact. On the days themselves the head of operations owns the show flow, which can run to 50 timed segments across three days, so relatives in India are not being asked to chase suppliers on your behalf.
Five named people per wedding
Vendor categories
we coordinate for you.
Decor is designed and built in-house by our own team. Everything below is a vendor category we brief, shortlist, book and run on your behalf — at the vendor's own price, with no commission to us.
| Category | What we settle for you | How we vet |
|---|---|---|
| Photography and film | Shooters, days of coverage, delivery time and whether raw files are included — the four items that explain most of the difference between two quotes. | One complete delivered wedding gallery with the venue and date named, not a highlight reel; the same images cross-checked against the studio's own site, its listing profile and its feed; and the delivery time on their last three weddings. |
| Catering | Menu, service style, staffing ratio, service hours and which taxes and service charges sit outside the per-plate number. | A written scope in quantities and hours, a recent comparable wedding at a similar guest count, and confirmation of who is actually cooking on your date. |
| Hair and makeup | Looks per function, the bride's party, and whether a trial is included or adjusted against the booking. | Unedited full-face daylight images of brides with a similar skin tone, a full-day story across morning, ceremony and reception, and the team sheet confirming whether the named artist or an associate is on your date. |
| Mehendi | Number of artists, hours booked, bridal versus guest work and the cone and cutting details that decide how dark it sets. | A written scope in quantities and hours, a recent comparable job, and confirmation of who is actually on your date. |
| Entertainment | DJ, live musicians, dhol, sound and lighting — plus the venue's music timings and sound limits for your date, in writing. | A written scope in quantities and hours, a recent comparable job, and confirmation of who is actually on your date. |
| Priests and purohits | The ritual order for your community and language, muhurtham timings, and the samagri list somebody has to buy. | Confirmation of the tradition and language they actually perform in, the ritual sequence in writing, and who is on your date. |
| Transport | Airport transfers, inter-venue movement and the vehicle count your arrival schedule genuinely needs rather than one fixed city travel time. | A written scope in vehicles and hours, a recent comparable job, and confirmation of who is on your date. |
| Guest hospitality | Room blocks, allocation, arrival and departure staggering, and the difference between rooms held and rooms confirmed. | Written confirmation of the allocation and terms from the property itself, not an assumed average of guests per room. |
Those checks come from how we already work: a name only reaches a shortlist we hand a couple after the work has been checked, and because we take no vendor commission a name is never on the list for any reason but the work. Where a category has no published check of its own above, we apply the same three: one complete recent job, a written scope in quantities and hours, and confirmation of who is actually on your date. We do not publish a certification scheme or a scored vendor rating, and we do not claim one.

actually talk.
The studio works Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST, and Sunday by appointment. The table below converts that window into your local clock. Times are computed from the IANA time zone database at build time for two reference dates, because most of these countries change their clocks and India does not.

Each row shows the part of the studio's working day that falls at a reasonable hour where you live (07:00 to 22:00 local). If nothing in a row works for you, say so in the enquiry: the first call is arranged around you, and the couple portal means the rest of the planning does not depend on being awake at the same moment. Reference dates 15 October 2026 and 15 January 2027, computed from the IANA time zone database when this page was generated on 19 September 2026. Daylight-saving rules change; confirm your own local time when the call is booked.
Everything is quoted in rupees
Every quote we issue — planning, design and decor, and every vendor scope we pass through to you — is written in INR. Your contract is an INR obligation, and the vendor is paid in INR.
We do not publish an exchange rate and nothing on this page fetches one. To see an approximate home-currency figure, take a rate from your own bank or transfer provider, note its direction and its timestamp, and keep the provider's fees as a separate line. The calculator on our budget page does exactly that arithmetic with a rate you supply.
Ask the payment provider about your own route and circumstances. We do not prescribe an account type, a remittance limit or any tax treatment, and a blank tax line in a quote is unresolved rather than zero.
What to send us for a first quote
You do not need all of this. The first four lines are enough for a real conversation; the rest sharpens the number.
- The date, or the month and year you are working towards.
- The destination: Bangalore and around it, Goa, or Kerala — or tell us you are still deciding between them.
- An approximate guest count, and how many of those are flying in from outside India.
- The functions you have in mind — mehendi, haldi, sangeet, the ceremony itself, a reception.
- Rooms and nights, if guests need to stay at the venue.
- The city and country you live in, so the first call can be set at a sensible hour.
- Anything already booked or held: a venue, a date with a priest, a photographer you have used before.
- References you keep coming back to — saved images, a Pinterest board, a wedding you attended.
- A budget frame, if you have one. We do not publish a minimum wedding budget or a maximum cap; planning scope is discussed for each wedding.
Questions couples
abroad actually ask.
Why is it so hard to find wedding planners and decorators in India from abroad?
Because almost everything you can see from another country is a curated feed. A grid shows the best frames from a hundred weddings, a makeup portfolio is colour-graded and cropped at the jaw, and a decor mood board agrees a feeling rather than a structure. What you cannot see remotely is the thing that decides the wedding: the written scope, who is actually on your date, and what an ordinary job of theirs looks like. The desk exists so that verification is done on the ground by the studio that is also accountable for the result.
Which parts of India do you cover?
Bangalore and the areas around it, Goa, and Kerala. Those are the three regions the studio works in, and we would rather tell you that than take a wedding in a city we do not know. If you are still deciding between them, send the same brief for all three and we will come back with what changes.
Do you take a commission from the vendors you recommend?
No. Panigrahana takes zero vendor commissions and clients pay vendors directly. We hold no client money on a vendor's behalf. That is also why the shortlist is worth something: a name is never on it for any reason but the work.
Who will actually be our point of contact?
Five named people are attached to each wedding: your first call, your planner, a production lead, a head of operations and a finance contact. Each role is a person you can reach rather than a shared inbox, and the first call is the person who picks up before anything is signed and stays reachable after.
How do we follow the planning from another country?
Every Panigrahana couple gets a private web portal holding the planning timeline, the decor deck, published meeting notes, vendor progress and a payment schedule itemised by vendor with every due date and paid date. You read it on your own time and bring focused questions to the next call. It is included in the planning fee quoted for the agreed scope; there is nothing extra to buy.
How do we approve decor we cannot see in person?
Against a dimensioned drawing or a 3D mockup, never a mood board. Check the measurements against the real space, the quantities of flower and fabric, and what will sit in frame behind your heads — then log the approval in writing, with the drawing version, so the version being built is never in dispute across five time zones.
How many trips to India will we need to make?
Most couples living abroad get between one and three, and many get one. The decisions worth flying for are the ones that need your face or your palate: the makeup trial, the food tasting and a walk of the venue at your actual function hour. Dates, venue, the photography contract, the decor design and guest logistics can all be settled before you board.
What currency will we be quoted in?
Rupees. Planning, design and decor, and every vendor scope we pass through, are quoted and contracted in INR. We publish no exchange rate; use a dated rate from your own provider for a home-currency view and keep its fees on a separate line.
Can you register our marriage or handle the legal paperwork?
No. Panigrahana provides wedding planning and decor. The celebration and the legal process are separate responsibilities, and we offer no court-marriage, registration or immigration service. Start with the registrar, mission or receiving authority handling your own case; our registration page sets out the questions worth asking them.
What does it cost, and is there a minimum budget?
There is no fixed minimum wedding budget and no maximum cap; planning scope is discussed for each wedding. The planning fee is quoted for the agreed scope, and design and decor are quoted separately for their scope and production. Venue, hospitality and vendor costs are separate again and are paid by you to each vendor directly.
