How far is Anantara Bophut from Samui airport, and how do guests from India get there?
About 15 minutes by road. Samui International Airport, operated by Bangkok Airways, is on the island, and the resort arranges fast-track arrival and limousine transfers for a fee, booked in advance. Guests from India book flights into Samui airport for your dates. The resort also lists a mainland route: fly into Surat Thani, then 60 minutes by bus to the pier and 90 minutes on the ferry.
Do Indian guests need a visa for a wedding on Koh Samui?
Not for a stay of up to 30 days on an Indian passport. The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi says Thailand's 30-day visa exemption for Indian passport holders travelling for tourism took effect on 15 September 2026, and anyone staying longer applies for an e-visa through Thailand's official website.
