Eshana opened in 2024 on NH75 towards Nelamangala, at Chowdeshwarinagara, about 25 km out from Bangalore City Railway Station. It is a working coconut grove rather than a landscaped lawn. The palms are the structure, the grass runs between them, and the built elements, a low cottage row, a pool and a covered dining pavilion, sit inside the grove rather than on top of it. That is an unusual look for North-West Bangalore, where most new venues are flat lawns with a boundary wall and a shade net.

Three outdoor spaces and one covered one carry the functions. The Garden is the main lawn, published by the venue at 500 seated and 750 floating. The Cottage Garden takes 100 seated in front of the cottages. The pool villa has its own garden for about 100. The Enclosed Area is a dining pavilion with a dark timber roof on steel columns, raised on a plinth with steps down to the grass, and it is the only roof on the property that holds a function. Eight rooms are listed, and the venue describes a 2BHK pool villa sleeping six, a cottage row and dormitories, putting the stay capacity at about 50.

The reason to look at Eshana carefully rather than quickly is that its published policies contradict themselves. The structured fields on its listing say outside caterers are allowed, outside decorators are permitted, and alcohol is available in-house and permitted from outside. The editorial description on the same listing says in-house catering only, in-house décor, and no alcohol from any source. Those are not small differences. They decide who cooks, who builds and whether there is a bar. A new venue often has a policy that moved between the two entries being written. Ask for all three in writing before anything is paid.

What it actually costs

Eshana The Venue wedding cost evidence

Venue rental₹1,00,000 per function, taxes extra — This is the rental cost field on the venue's own WedMeGood listing. The venue's own site prices the Garden & Event Area from ₹50,000, which is the lower entry point for a smaller booking rather than a wedding rate. Ask which spaces, which hours and how many functions the ₹1 lakh covers, and whether a second day is priced the same.

Designed, not just planned

Wedding planning & decor at Eshana The Venue: how we would design it

The coconut grove is the design. Palms are tall, straight and widely spaced, which gives you three things a normal Bangalore lawn does not: vertical rhythm, almost no canopy shade at ground level, and clean trunks that take an uplight beautifully. The cheapest strong move here is lighting those trunks. Twenty-five warm uplights into the grove reads as a built set and costs a fraction of a structure. The matching problem is that there is nothing overhead to rig from, so every suspended element needs its own frame and the budget has to carry it from the first drawing. Catenary wires between palms are tempting, and are exactly the thing to get written permission for, because they load living trees. Cover is the next constraint. The Enclosed Area is a covered pavilion at roughly 100 seated, which makes it a buffet hall rather than a rain plan for 500, so a monsoon-window date here means a costed structure over The Garden, and that number belongs in the first budget rather than the second. Then the ground. This is a working grove, so it is uneven between palms and the drainage is agricultural. Walk it with the venue before drawing the seating plan, and plan a firm path from the drop-off to the mandap for elders and wheelchairs, because grass between palm roots defeats both. On palette, white, cream, raw fibre, brass and green sit inside a coconut grove without fighting it, while strong reds and pinks read as decoration applied to a plantation. The pool is an asset for a daytime function and a hazard after dark, so light its edge and rope it if children are on the guest list.

Which function goes where

HaldiThe Cottage Garden, at 100 seated. Morning haldi among the palms in front of the cottage row gives you shade and a background at once, and the bridal party is a few steps from where they slept.
MehendiThe pool villa lawn, which the venue puts at 100 social. It sits apart from the main garden, which keeps a long daytime function clear of the evening build.
SangeetThe Garden, with the stage set against the grove so the palms take the uplighting. Outdoor amplified sound stops at 10pm across Karnataka, so plan the set to run from about 6.30.
Wedding ceremonyThe mandap goes in The Garden. Coconut palms are tall and clear-stemmed, so the ceremony sits under sky rather than under canopy, which is why an early-morning muhurtham photographs well here and a midday one is hot.
ReceptionThe Garden at 500 seated for the main reception, with the Enclosed Area taking the buffet and the service line rather than the seating, which is what a 100-seat covered pavilion is genuinely good for.

Season and weather

October to March is the window, and it matters more here than at a venue with a hall. There is about 100 seats' worth of built cover on the property, so a June-to-September date is a tented wedding by definition and should be budgeted as one. April and May are workable if the ceremony sits after 5pm; the grove gives shade at the edges but not over the main lawn. As a 2024 venue, Eshana's peak dates are likely to be easier to get than at an established property, which is a reason to ask about a December weekend here.

Arrivals, access and logistics

Guests come out along NH75 towards Nelamangala, which runs fast outside peak hours and slowly inside them. From the city railway station, 25 km is about 45 to 60 minutes on a weekday evening, so send a leaving time rather than only a pin. Parking is on the property, and the listing records it as sufficient. On-site stay covers about 50 people across the pool villa, cottages and dorms, so block a hotel in Nelamangala or on the Tumkur Road corridor for everyone else and run a shuttle both ways. Vendor access is the thing to settle early at a new venue: agree the load-in start, truck access across grass to each space, the power available at each point, whether a generator is required and who supplies it, and the dismantling window.

An honest read

Is Eshana The Venue the right venue for your wedding?

Right for you ifCouples after an outdoor wedding with a real setting rather than a decorated lawn, for 200 to 500 guests, on the Nelamangala side of the city. The pool villa and the cottage row make it a genuine weekend property for a small core group, and a new venue is usually more flexible on dates and terms than an established one.
Look elsewhere ifFamilies who need firm written policies before they will commit, because the published rules contradict each other and a new property takes time to settle. Also families needing more than about 50 people housed on site, and anyone planning a monsoon-window date who is not prepared to pay for a tented structure over the main lawn.
Planner tipPut three lines in the written proposal before the advance: catering, whether in-house only or outside allowed and at what royalty; decor, whether in-house only or outside allowed and at what access fee; and alcohol, whether permitted and on whose licence. Eshana's own listing answers all three twice, in opposite directions. Ask which capacity applies to The Garden while you are at it, because the venue's site says 500 seated and its listing says 700.

Asked and answered

Eshana The Venue wedding questions

Where exactly is Eshana The Venue?

Eshana is at Chowdeshwarinagara, in the Hullegowdana Halli area on the Nelamangala side of Bengaluru, PIN 562130. Its listing puts it about 25 km from Bangalore City Railway Station, reached along NH75. The venue's own site gives the address only as 'Nelamangala Road, Bangalore', so ask for a pin drop when you book a site visit rather than relying on a name search.

How many guests can Eshana hold?

The listing records 100 to 1,000 guests. The venue's own site publishes The Garden at 500 seated and 750 floating, The Cottage Garden at 100 seated and 250 floating, and the pool villa garden at 100 social. Its listing gives The Garden as 700 seated and 1,000 floating. Those two sets disagree by 200 seats, so ask for one written figure against your layout before you fix the guest list.

What are the spaces at Eshana?

Four. The Garden is the main coconut-grove lawn. The Cottage Garden is the smaller lawn in front of the cottage row, at 100 seated. The Private Pool Villa with Lawn has its own garden for about 100 people and sleeps 6. The Enclosed Area is a covered open-sided dining pavilion listed at 100 seated and 200 floating, and it is the only built cover on the property.

What does a wedding at Eshana cost?

The listing prints a rental cost of ₹1,00,000 per function, taxes extra, checked on 11 September 2026. The venue's own site prices the Garden & Event Area from ₹50,000, which is the entry point for a smaller booking. Accommodation starts at ₹25,000 for the 2BHK pool villa, ₹10,000 for cottages and ₹15,000 for dorms. Ask what one 'function' covers in spaces and hours.

Can we bring our own caterer to Eshana?

The venue's listing answers this twice, in opposite directions. Its structured catering policy field says in-house and outside catering are both allowed. The editorial description on the same page says in-house catering only. A venue that opened in 2024 may well have changed its policy between those two entries being written. Get the current answer in writing, with any outside-caterer royalty stated, before you pay anything.

Can we bring our own decorator?

The listing's decor policy field says outside decorators are permitted. The editorial block on the same listing lists 'In-house décor services', and the venue's own amenities page offers decor as one of its services. Treat the permission as likely but unconfirmed: ask for it in writing, together with any decor access fee and the load-in window, before any fabrication starts.

Is alcohol allowed at Eshana?

This is the most contradictory item on the listing. The structured policy fields record in-house alcohol as available and outside alcohol as permitted. The editorial description on the same page says alcohol is not allowed, in-house or outside. Do not plan a bar, a cocktail evening or a bar budget until the venue has confirmed in writing which is true for your date.

How many people can sleep at Eshana?

The listing records 8 rooms. The venue's own site describes a 2BHK pool villa with a private garden sleeping 6, a cottage row and dormitories, and its home page puts the stay capacity at about 50 people alongside a social capacity of 1,000. So roughly the core family sleeps on site and the guest list does not. Block a hotel in Nelamangala or on Tumkur Road for the rest.

What is the rain plan?

The only built cover is the Enclosed Area, listed at 100 seated and 200 floating. That is a buffet hall, not a backup for a 500-guest function. For any date in the monsoon window the honest plan is a tented structure over The Garden, costed into the budget from the start. Ask who supplies it, what it seats in your layout, and how late the weather call can be made.

Which months are best for a wedding at Eshana?

October to March, and that matters more here than at a venue with a hall, because there are only about 100 covered seats on the property. April and May work if the ceremony sits after 5pm — a coconut grove gives shade at the edges but not over the main lawn. June to September means a tented wedding. As a 2024 venue its peak dates are usually easier to get than an established property's.

What time does the music have to stop?

Outdoor amplified sound across Karnataka stops at 10pm, and the limit sits on the venue's licence rather than on your DJ's judgement. Everything here is outdoors, and the covered pavilion is a 100-seat space, so there is no large indoor room to move a late party into. Build the evening so the sangeet and the DJ set peak between 6.30 and 10 and the rest of the night is dinner and the grove lit.

Is there a swimming pool, and is it safe with children around?

Yes, there is a pool with a dark stone deck beside the villa block, and the venue's own amenities page lists it. For a wedding it is an asset in daylight and a hazard after dark. Ask for the pool edge to be lit and roped for the evening functions if children are on the guest list, and put the kids' area on the far side of the lawn from it.

How do guests get there, and how long does it take?

Out along NH75 towards Nelamangala, about 25 km from Bangalore City Railway Station, which is 45 to 60 minutes on a weekday evening and less at the weekend. Guests drive, so send a leaving time rather than only a location pin, and stagger arrivals rather than giving everyone one call time. Parking is on the property and the listing records it as sufficient.

Can we hold the mandap and havan at Eshana?

The mandap goes in The Garden, on a level section of the grove, with the havan kund on a fire-safe base the venue approves. There is no canopy over the main lawn — coconut palms are tall and clear-stemmed — so an early-morning muhurtham photographs well and a midday one is hot. Confirm the fire arrangement and the overnight access needed to set the mandap before dawn when you confirm the date.

Is Eshana suitable for a small wedding of under 50 guests?

Yes. The listing specifically records that functions of fewer than 50 guests are accepted, which a lot of North Bangalore venues will not do. The pool villa with its own lawn and the Cottage Garden are both sized for that, and with 6 beds in the villa a very small wedding can be a genuine two-night stay rather than an evening.

How accessible is the property for elderly guests?

Ask for three things rather than a yes: a firm, level path from the drop-off to the mandap, a ramp to the raised dining pavilion, and an accessible washroom near the main lawn. The ground between the palms in a working grove is uneven and grass defeats a wheelchair, so the route matters more here than at a paved venue. Walk it yourself on the site visit.

What is Eshana rated?

4.8 out of 5 across 10 reviews on WedMeGood, checked on 11 September 2026. Ten reviews is a small sample and the venue opened in 2024, so read all of them rather than the average, and ask the venue for two recent couples you can speak to. A new venue's real record is in how it handled its last five weddings, not in its score.

Can we plan an Eshana wedding from the US, UK or the Gulf?

Yes. Around 300 of Panigrahana's 500-plus weddings have been planned with families living abroad across 12 countries. For a venue this new we do the walkthrough ourselves before you commit, get the catering, decor and alcohol policies in writing, and run the design and budget approvals through our own couple portal so your parents in Bangalore see the same lines you do. We contract in rupees, so the agreed number does not move with the exchange rate.

Who plans and designs weddings at Eshana The Venue?

Panigrahana Weddings, an architect-founded planning and design studio in Bengaluru, with planning and decor under one roof. The studio has produced 500-plus weddings since 2016 across 12 countries and is rated 4.8 out of 5 across 94 Google reviews. Every mandap and set is drawn for one couple and built by a 30-person in-house team rather than pulled from a rental catalogue, which is the right approach at a venue with no established decor template.
