La Terra Gardens opened in Yelahanka in 2025 and is built around one idea: a large lawn with a piece of architecture standing behind it. The main building is a long arcaded block with repeated arches, lit at night, and it does the job that most Bangalore lawns have to hire a decorator to fake. Guests seated on the grass are looking at a facade rather than a boundary wall, which is the difference between a lawn wedding that photographs well and one that needs a backdrop built along its full width.
The numbers are straightforward. The lawn is listed at 700 seated and 1,000 floating; the indoor banquet hall is listed at 100 seated, so it is a small room rather than a second main space. Twenty-four rooms sit on the property. The rental is published at ₹9,00,000 per function, which puts it near the top of the Yelahanka band, and every vendor category is open: you can bring your decorator, your caterer, your DJ and your alcohol.
That openness is the practical argument for it. On a property where the venue sells you the space and nothing else, the whole budget below the rental line stays under your control, and the design is not limited to what an in-house team keeps in storage. The offsetting risk is the rain plan. With a 700-seated lawn and a 100-seated hall, a wet December evening has no built answer, and that has to be solved on paper before you sign.

Every function needs its own room
Function spaces at La Terra Gardens
| Space | Type | Seated | Floating | Air-conditioned | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lawn | lawn | 700 | 1,000 | No | The main open lawn and the reason to book here, listed at 700 seated and 1,000 floating. It sits in front of the arcaded main building, so the architecture reads as a backdrop from every seat. |
| Banquet Hall | hall | 100 | 150 | — | A small indoor hall listed at 100 seated / 150 floating. Useful for a nichayathartham, a family lunch or a green room, but far too small to carry the lawn's guest list if it rains. |
A dash means the figure is not published. Ask for a measured plan of each space with the mandap, stage, dining and service access marked before you fix a guest count.

Designed, not just planned
Wedding planning & decor at La Terra Gardens: how we would design it
The arcade is the design. A repeating arched facade has a natural rhythm, and the cheapest strong move here is to light it from ground level so the arches read as a colonnade behind the mandap instead of a flat wall. Warm, low-angle wash across the arches, nothing frontal. The mandap should then sit centred on that rhythm and be built open and relatively low, because a tall closed structure placed in front of a colonnade fights it; you want the architecture visible through and around the mandap from the guest seats. The lawn itself is wide rather than deep, which argues for a long shallow seating plan and a broad aisle rather than a narrow processional. Two practical constraints. First, there is no covered space on the property bigger than 100 seated, so any monsoon or unseasonal-rain build needs a marquee designed as part of the scheme rather than dropped on top of it; if that is a possibility for your date, we would design the whole lawn to work under cover from the start. Second, the property opened in 2025, so the planting is young and there is no canopy to hang from or shade under. Height has to be built, and shade for a daytime function is a structure, not a tree.
Which function goes where
| Haldi | The lawn fore-court in the morning, or the banquet hall if you want a contained 100-guest function. The arcade gives shade along one edge, which is where the seating should go for a 10am haldi. |
|---|---|
| Mehendi | The banquet hall at 100 seated works for a family mehendi. For a larger one, the lawn needs a hired covered structure, because there is no middle-sized covered space on the property. |
| Sangeet | The lawn, with outside DJs permitted so the sound is your choice. Yelahanka's residential edges mean the cut-off time matters; get it in writing. |
| Wedding ceremony | The lawn for a morning muhurtham, with the mandap set against the arcaded facade so the building frames the ritual rather than the boundary. |
| Reception | The lawn again at up to 700 seated, lit off the building rather than off pole-mounted fixtures — the arches take light well and give the evening its depth. |
Season and weather
November to February is the clear window. October and March work with evening timings. Between June and September a 700-seated lawn with no indoor fallback is a genuine risk in Yelahanka, and the honest plan for those months is a covered build priced in from the start rather than treated as insurance.
Arrivals, access and logistics
Ananthapura Main Road sits off the Yelahanka stretch, which is an easy run from Hebbal, Jakkur, Yelahanka New Town and the airport road, and a longer one from South and East Bangalore. Twenty-four rooms cover the wedding party; larger blocks sit in the Yelahanka and Hebbal hotel cluster. Because every vendor is external, the load-in schedule needs managing tightly — caterer, decorator, sound and generator all arrive on the same access road, and a 700-guest lawn build is not a same-morning job.
An honest read
Is La Terra Gardens the right venue for your wedding?
| Right for you if | Couples in North Bangalore who want an open lawn with real architecture behind it, full control over every vendor, and rooms on site for the immediate family. |
|---|---|
| Look elsewhere if | Anyone whose date falls in the monsoon and who wants a built indoor fallback, and anyone looking for a mid-sized covered space — the property jumps from a 100-seated hall to a 700-seated lawn with nothing in between. |
| Planner tip | Ask what ₹9,00,000 per function actually buys. On a property where the rental is the venue's entire revenue from you, the definition of a function — hours, spaces included, whether the lawn and hall are separate lines, whether the previous evening's build time is charged — is where a two-day wedding either stays on budget or does not. Get it itemised before you negotiate the number. |
The shortlist
Venues couples weigh against La Terra Gardens
Asked and answered
La Terra Gardens wedding questions
What does a wedding at La Terra Gardens cost?
The venue rental is listed at ₹9,00,000 per function, taxes extra, on the WedMeGood profile, checked 11 September 2026. No plate rate is published. Because catering, decor, sound and alcohol are all open, everything below the rental line is contracted by you, so the total depends on your caterer's plate rate and guest count more than on the venue.
How many guests can La Terra Gardens hold?
The listing carries a 100 to 1,000 range. The lawn is listed at 700 seated and 1,000 floating; the indoor banquet hall is listed at 100 seated and 150 floating. Those two numbers are very far apart, so in practice the lawn is the wedding and the hall is a support room, not a second venue.
Can you bring your own caterer to La Terra Gardens?
Yes. The listing records that both in-house and outside catering are allowed, which is the more flexible of the two models. Ask whether a kitchen-access or royalty charge applies if you bring your own caterer, what kitchen and washing facilities the caterer gets on site, and whether the answer differs between the lawn and the hall.
Can you bring your own decorator to La Terra Gardens?
Yes — outside decorators are permitted. That matters more here than at most properties, because the arcaded facade behind the lawn is the strongest design asset on the site and an original build can be drawn to work with it rather than cover it. Confirm the load-in window and whether overnight build is allowed.
What is the rain backup at La Terra Gardens?
There is no built fallback of matching size. The lawn is listed at 700 seated and the only indoor space at 100 seated, so a wet evening means a temporary covered structure. Ask the venue who supplies it, what it seats, what it costs and how late the decision can be made. For a monsoon date, plan the cover from the start rather than as insurance.
Does La Terra Gardens have rooms?
Yes — 24 rooms are listed on the property. That covers the wedding party and immediate family for a two-day wedding. A larger block will need the Yelahanka and Hebbal hotel cluster nearby, with transfers built into the morning plan; for a muhurtham that starts before sunrise, that transfer is the part that goes wrong.
Is alcohol allowed at La Terra Gardens?
The listing records that in-house alcohol is not available and outside alcohol is permitted, so you arrange the liquor and the licence and the venue provides the setting. Confirm corkage or service charges, who holds the permit for the date, and the bar close time, because those three answers set what a cocktail evening actually costs.
Can you bring your own DJ to La Terra Gardens?
Yes. The listing records that there is no in-house DJ and outside DJs are permitted, so the sound is entirely your choice. The question to settle is the cut-off time. Yelahanka has residential development around it, and the sound deadline decides how a sangeet is programmed, not just when it ends.
How new is La Terra Gardens?
The listing records a start year of 2025 and carried two reviews when we checked on 11 September 2026, the most recent in January 2026. A property this new usually presents better than an older one, but it has little operational history. Ask for measured lawn dimensions, the available electrical load and the generator arrangement rather than relying on precedent.
Where is La Terra Gardens?
It is on Ananthapura Main Road near Nagarjuna Degree College in Yelahanka, North Bangalore. That is a straightforward drive from Hebbal, Jakkur and the airport road, and a long evening run from South or East Bangalore. Share the pin location with guests; Ananthapura has several similarly named approach roads.
Is La Terra Gardens good for a South Indian muhurtham?
Yes, and the gallery shows the columned hall laid out for exactly that, with low seating around a central raised mandap. For a morning muhurtham the choice is between that covered hall and the open lawn. The hall gives controlled light and no weather risk; the lawn gives scale. Decide on guest count and month.
How does La Terra Gardens compare with other Yelahanka venues?
Against Chitrakoot on Doddaballapura Main Road it is newer and more expensive, with a stronger building but a weaker indoor fallback. Against King's Meadows it trades indoor capacity for an open lawn. The published ₹9,00,000 rental puts it at the upper end of the Yelahanka band, so the comparison is really about whether the architecture is worth that premium to you.
What should you settle before signing at La Terra Gardens?
Four things in writing: exactly what one ₹9,00,000 function covers in hours and spaces; the terms for an outside caterer, including any kitchen-access fee; the covered-structure plan and cost for rain, with the decision deadline; and the room block rate and release date against the 24 rooms on site.
