How do we include family without losing track of wedding decisions?
Agree what the wedding needs to accomplish for the couple and family, then identify who contributes ideas and who approves each type of decision. Keep guest-count, spending and ceremony changes explicit. Discuss the cost and practical effect of a new request before committing to it.
Family members can value different things: participation, hosting, rituals, time together or the setting. Collect preferences with permission and discuss the tradeoffs. Record an agreed brief rather than treating every suggestion as an instruction. Financial contributions and approval roles should be discussed together; a planning worksheet does not decide family authority.
