Price lists
Wedding planner price list in India — what a list can honestly say
A wedding planner price list in India can honestly publish three things: the fee model, the scope each tier contains, and the variables that move the number. It cannot honestly publish a single rupee figure per tier, because the same scope costs differently across one function and five, one city and two, a ballroom and a field. Any list that shows one number per tier has assumed a wedding that is not yours.

What a price list can and cannot contain
| Item | Can it be published | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Fee model — flat or percentage | Yes | It is a policy, not a calculation |
| What each scope contains | Yes | Deliverables do not change with your venue |
| Whether vendor commission is taken | Yes | It is a yes or a no |
| What is quoted separately | Yes | Design, production, travel, hospitality |
| A single figure per tier | No | It only holds for one function count, one city and one venue type |
| Decor cost per function | No | Area and fabrication drive it; the flower market moves weekly |
This is the awkward part of the category. Families are right to want a number before a call, and the industry has responded with lists that look precise and are not. The compromise that respects both is to publish the mechanics and quote the number within a working day of seeing the brief.
The six variables behind every planner quote
- Number of functions, and how many of them need a full build
- Crew days on site, including set-up and strike, which is usually longer than the wedding
- One venue or two, and whether guests move between them
- Indoor or outdoor, because an outdoor build brings its own power, cover and rigging
- City, and whether travel and stay for the team are required
- How much hospitality — rooms, transfers, guest desk — sits with the studio rather than the family
Change any one of those and the figure moves materially. That is why two studios quoting "full-service planning" can be a multiple apart and both be honest: they have assumed different answers to these six.
How this studio quotes
- The planning fee is flat, for the scope written into the proposal — not a percentage of your spend
- Design and decor are quoted separately for their own scope and production
- Venue, catering, photography, music and makeup are paid by you directly to those vendors
- Zero vendor commission, so the recommendation is advice rather than a sale
- The proposal states payment amounts, due dates and the delivery or approval milestone each is tied to
- There is no fixed minimum or maximum wedding budget
Zero vendor commission does not mean in-house services are supplied without margin. Our design and production are a manufactured product with a crew behind them and are quoted as one. Stating that plainly is part of the same honesty as refusing to publish a fake tier price.
How to compare two quotes properly
- Write one scope document — functions, dates, guest counts, venue, what you want the studio to own — and send the identical document to both.
- Ask both for a flat fee against that document, even if one prefers a percentage; ask the percentage firm what their model produces for this scope.
- Ask both whether they take vendor commission, in writing.
- Ask both what is excluded, and read that list first.
- Ask both which named people are on site per function day.
- Only then compare the two numbers.
Most families do this in the opposite order, compare the numbers first, and then try to explain the gap. The gap is almost always exclusions and crew days, and it is visible in ten minutes if you ask in this order.
Questions couples ask
Why will you not publish a wedding planner price list with figures?
Because a figure per tier is only true for one assumed wedding. Publishing one would make our page easier to read and our quotes less trustworthy. What we publish instead is the fee model, what each scope contains, what is charged separately, and the six variables that move the number.
Do other planners in India publish price lists?
Many listicles and marketplaces publish tier ranges, and those ranges are worth reading as a frame rather than as a quote — by the time most families call us they have read the same tiering three times. Use it to check whether a quote is wildly out of pattern, not to predict your own number.
What is the difference between a price list and a package?
A package fixes both the scope and the price, which works when the wedding is standardised — a resort's own wedding package, for example. A price list pretends to fix the price while leaving the scope open, which is where families get caught. If you are shown a package, read what is excluded before you read what is included.
How quickly can you give us a number?
Usually within a working day of seeing the venue, the functions and the guest count. If the venue is not decided, we will quote against the two or three you are choosing between, because the venue moves the figure more than anything else.
Is your fee a percentage of our budget?
No. It is a flat fee for the scope agreed in writing. A percentage means the planner's income rises with your spend, which puts their interest and your restraint on opposite sides of every upgrade decision.
Does your fee include the decor?
No, and that is deliberate. Bundling design and production into a planning fee hides which half of the number is crew and which half is the set, and it makes it impossible for you to trim one without cutting the other.
Do you have a minimum budget?
No fixed minimum and no cap. Planning scope is discussed for each wedding. What we will do is tell you early if a budget and a brief cannot meet, rather than discovering it together in month three.
What should a wedding planner price list in India contain, then?
Fee model, scope per tier, exclusions, commission policy, payment milestones, and the variables that move the number. If you receive one that contains those six things and no fake figures, you are dealing with someone who intends to quote you honestly.
