Ask to see the second room before choosing the first
When you visit a Kerala resort, it is easy to spend the whole appointment looking at the water, garden or courtyard. Give the indoor alternative its own visit. Stand where the ceremony will happen and look at the room as guests will use it, including the walk from their rooms or vehicles.
Ask whether another event can be booked into that room. If you need it held for your wedding, the hold should appear in the agreement. Draw two layouts with the same guest list

Keep room for guests who need to leave and return during the ceremony. A beautiful floral entrance loses its purpose if it narrows the route everyone must use. Ask the hotel and production team to review exits and access before the décor drawing is approved.

Pick a small set of design features that define the celebration. The colour, backdrop detail and table styling might carry into both rooms, while an overhead installation may need a completely different solution. Ask for both views rather than shrinking the outdoor render to fit a ballroom.
For fresh flowers, identify what can be moved in the available time and what must be prepared separately. Do not build the backup around reusing every piece. Labour, transport through the property and the changeover window belong in the discussion.

Plan the transition guests will experience
A rain plan includes the walk, not only the room. Trace the route from the drop-off point to the ceremony, then from ceremony to dining. Ask the property about covered connections and assistance where there are steps or slippery outdoor surfaces. If guests arrive in separate vehicles, make sure each driver has the updated entrance.
Assign one person to update the welcome desk and one to tell vendors. The couple should not have to relay the same decision to the photographer, makeup team, officiant and relatives. Give those people one confirmed location and revised timeline.
Keep the plan useful until the event
Review the forecast closer to the date with the venue and production team. A seasonal description cannot predict the conditions at your function. Save both layouts, the room confirmation and the decision sheet in the shared planning folder so nobody has to search an old chat.
Before the final payment stage, reconcile the backup items against the current proposal. If a structure, extra room or additional crew has been added, record it as a change with its price and approval. A fallback that exists only in a conversation is easy to misunderstand.
