About Kshemyaa
Kshemyaa opened in 2023 on Doddaballapur Main Road at Honnenahalli, opposite the HP petrol pump, in the belt north of Yelahanka that now carries most of the city's new large-venue building. It is laid out as four separate spaces rather than one hall with overflow: a covered pavilion, a main lawn, a small lawn and a dining hall of its own.
That last one matters more than it sounds. A 350-seat dining hall separate from the 1,000-seat pavilion means the buffet or the service lines never sit inside the ceremony room, which is the single most common thing that spoils a large South Indian wedding's photographs. The pavilion itself is a steel-framed structure open along the sides to the lawn, with a hard floor and a full-width stage — covered, but not sealed.
The design vocabulary shows in the venue's own photographs: fabric ceiling swags across the pavilion, a carved wooden temple-style mandap on the stage, lawn dining with festoon lighting. Decor runs through a panel, catering does not, and both alcohol routes are open. At ₹4 lakh a function it is priced above the older mantapas on this road, and the extra buys separation between functions rather than more seats.

Designed, not just planned
How we would design a wedding at Kshemyaa
The pavilion is a steel-framed open-sided structure, which is a rigging gift and a lighting problem. The trusses take ceiling swags, hanging floral and fixtures without any temporary structure, and the venue's own weddings lean hard on that. But the open sides mean the room has no walls to bounce light off and a dark boundary beyond, so every lumen you put up there has to be aimed. Uplighting the perimeter columns and washing the stage gives you the room; washing the ceiling gives you nothing. The carved wooden mandap on the stage is heavy and warm-toned, so keep the ceiling palette in the same family or it fights. Outdoors, the coconut boundary is the best backdrop on the property — set the lawn mandap against it rather than against the buildings, and light the trunks rather than the canopy.

The covered pavilion makes this workable year-round, with the lawns as the November-to-February bonus. In the monsoon, plan the main functions under the pavilion from the start.
Arrivals, access and logistics
Doddaballapur Main Road is a clean run for guests from Yelahanka, Devanahalli and the airport, and a long drive from the south.
