Designed, not just planned
How we would design a wedding at La Estoria Goa
The hotel's own look is Indo-Portuguese: tiled roofs, verandahs and courtyards, per the listing. That is the brief. We would keep structures low and open so the rooflines stay in every photograph, light the verandahs rather than build new walls, and use the courtyards as a sequence of small rooms for the day functions. The indoor rooms are modest in size, so the evening design is about lighting, a well-placed stage and table styling rather than large installations.
