How do a couple living abroad and their parents choose a Goa wedding planner without flying in first?
Put the same four questions to every Goa planner on a video call before anyone flies (who leads in Goa, which resorts they have built at, what the fee covers, what the resort bills you directly), and hold the call inside the studio's 9 am to 9 pm India hours, which until 4 April 2027 is 2:30 pm to 2:30 am in Sydney and Melbourne and, until 28 March 2027, 3:30 am to 3:30 pm in London (checked 25 October 2026).

Planning your Goa stay and celebration
Should we choose North Goa or South Goa for our wedding?
Compare the shortlisted resorts, airport routes, guest plans and functions rather than assuming one half of Goa is always better. Room commitments, indoor space and production access can outweigh the broad location. Ask for the same dates and scope from each property.
Which Goa airport should guests use for our chosen resort?
Use the exact resort and the flights your guests can actually take. Goa has Manohar International Airport and Dabolim Airport; verify schedules, terminals and onward transfers for the travel dates. A single airport recommendation without the property's location can mislead guests.
Does beachfront accommodation mean we can hold a ceremony on the beach?
No permission follows merely from a beachfront description. Ask the property which exact event area is offered, who controls it and what permissions, access and restrictions apply. Obtain confirmation for your date and setup before commissioning a beach installation.
What indoor backup should we contract for an outdoor Goa wedding?
Reserve a named indoor space with a seating layout for your actual ceremony and stage. Confirm whether it is exclusive, when it becomes available and who authorises the weather decision. Record the cost and time needed to move or rebuild the setup.
How do wind, sand, sun and guest sightlines affect beach mandap design?
Ask the design and production teams to assess anchoring, materials, guest shade, orientation and the clear view of the ceremony. Check these against the actual space and venue rules. A reference photograph does not demonstrate wind resistance or permission to install.
What should we verify about music timings and event permissions?
Ask the venue which authority and property conditions apply to your dates, spaces, music and installation. Confirm permitted hours and who obtains necessary approvals in writing. Do not rely on a universal Goa cutoff or an old wedding's arrangements.
How do room-block terms and minimum stays change our Goa budget?
Request the number and type of rooms, nightly rates, minimum nights, meals, mandatory charges, taxes and release conditions. A minimum stay can change the total even if the nightly rate looks competitive. Confirm what happens when fewer guests take the block.
How can we assess Christmas or New Year wedding dates before requesting quotes?
Confirm the intended dates, resort minimum stays, event-space availability and any mandatory festive arrangements before setting a budget. Ask how the quote differs from adjacent dates. Do not apply an invented seasonal percentage or imply availability from a published package.
Plan the resort stay alongside the wedding
Ask guests which airport they will use, when they arrive and whether they need a transfer. Group actual arrival times before requesting vehicles; one coach does not solve arrivals spread across a day. Confirm late check-in, luggage storage and meals separately.
Build a room allocation with arrival and departure dates, room types, occupants and the person paying. Check how the hotel handles extras and later changes. A guest count is not a room count, and a room block is not confirmation that every invited guest will attend.
Give each Goa function a confirmed setting
For a beach or outdoor celebration, ask the venue to confirm permissions, weather alternatives, sound timings and access for production. Review the alternative layout before the final design is approved so its capacity and appearance are understood.
Build in guest movement between ceremony, dining and evening spaces. Check where people wait while an area is reset, and who directs them. Confirm the programme with the venue and suppliers rather than assuming one space can turn around instantly.
