A negotiated block gets you two things ad-hoc booking never will: a group rate typically 15–20% below rack, and guaranteed availability on peak dates that otherwise sell out months ahead. The trap on the other side is attrition: commit to 60 rooms, fill 42, and the contract bills you for the gap. The discipline: block conservatively, then add rooms as RSVPs firm up. Transfers: Arrival Waves, Not Vehicle Counts

Guests do not arrive as one group — they land in waves across the day before and the morning of the first function. Plan coaches per wave (a full-size coach seats about 40), plus a handful of cars for grandparents, the bridal party and anyone landing off-schedule. In Bali, where dedicated transfer vehicles are essential, budget roughly ₹2–4 lakh per 50 guests for the wedding's transfer fleet. In Goa and Kerala the same wave logic applies with shorter runs; what matters is a manifest — who lands when — not a bigger fleet.
