Palace Grounds wedding venues in Bangalore, compared hall by hall

Palace Grounds and its Jayamahal edge hold wedding halls that seat 5,000 and more, each run separately. Gayatri Vihar's Royal Banquet Hall seats 5,000, with in-house catering and decor. Chamara Vajra's Maanikya seats 5,000 or more around a pure-veg kitchen. Anantya, at 500 seated, needs your own caterer. Princess Shrine is a dry lawn for 1,000.

Royal Tripura Vasini and Tripura Vasini White Petals share a name. Neither source says whether they are the same business, so ask which one you are booking and whose contract you sign.

The catering model matters more than the hall size

These halls sell in three different ways, and the plate figure means something different in each. Compare them on the same basis or the cheapest-looking hall will not be the cheapest wedding.

Everything in-house. Gayatri Vihar's listing gives in-house catering only and in-house decor, so ₹3,500 a plate carries most of the evening. For 1,000 guests that is ₹35 lakh a function before taxes.
Bring your own caterer. Anantya takes outside caterers only, and its listing still shows ₹900 to ₹1,100 a plate. Ask what that figure covers before you compare it with anything.
Your choice. Princess Shrine, the White Petals lawn and Royal Tripura Vasini let you use their caterer or bring your own. On a lawn, the plate is only part of the cost: a covered structure, lighting, power and decor are separate, and at 1,000 guests they often cost more than the food.

For the plate figures alone, 1,000 guests at Princess Shrine's listed ₹900 to ₹1,000 is ₹9 lakh to ₹10 lakh a function, and at the White Petals lawn's ₹500 to ₹750 it is ₹5 lakh to ₹7.5 lakh. Neither number includes the hall rent, which neither listing publishes.

Indoor hall or lawn: the 10 pm line

Under India's Noise Pollution Rules, loudspeakers outdoors stop at 10 pm; closed premises such as banquet halls are exempt, and follow the venue's own timing. So a reception on the Princess Shrine lawn, the White Petals lawn, Gayatri Vihar's Designer Garden or Marakata's lawn ends its music at 10. The same evening in Maanikya or the Royal Banquet Hall can run later, if the venue agrees.

A lawn wedding also needs a rain plan with a real roof. Princess Shrine and the White Petals listing show no indoor space, so the covered structure has to be designed, priced and built as part of the wedding.

For 2,000 guests and more

Three halls publish seated figures above 2,000: Gayatri Vihar's Royal Banquet Hall (5,000), Chamara Vajra's Maanikya (5,000 or more) and Royal Tripura Vasini's main hall (7,000 on its home page, though its own Premium package is written for up to 3,000). Seat the wedding to a number the venue will put in the contract.

Parking decides how the evening feels at this size. Royal Tripura Vasini says 3,000 vehicles. Chamara Vajra lists 700 at Maanikya, 600 at Marakata and 250 at Mukta. Plan the drop-off point, valet and the elders' route from car to seat before you plan the stage.

Designing a hall this size

A 30,000 sq ft hall swallows an ordinary stage. The design has to make a room inside the room: where the couple sits, how guests see them from the back rows, and how 2,000 people reach the food without queuing past the stage.

“Minole and Mir met at Hampi, so their reception stage at Mukta Hall was built as a stepped well. They did not want a mandap either, so the lotus canopy was hung from the ceiling instead.”

That canopy at Chamara Vajra carried 7,400 flowers stitched by hand from tailoring offcuts, old sarees and mill waste, for 750 guests. We are an architect-founded studio with a 30-person in-house team, and every mandap and stage is designed for its room.

What to ask before you pay the advance

Royal Tripura Vasini's own FAQ asks for 30% to hold the date and the balance 30 days before the event. Terms like that are normal here, so get these answers in writing before any money moves.

The licensed seated capacity of the exact hall, and the floating figure for the reception.
Hall rent for your date, and what it includes: hours, power, generator, air conditioning, cleaning.
Catering: in-house, outside or either; any charge for an outside caterer; veg-only rules for your hall.
Decor: whether an outside designer may build, the load-in hours and any fee.
Alcohol and music: what is allowed, where, and until what time.
Rooms for the family on the day, and where the bride and groom get ready.
Parking numbers, the gate guests should use, and whether valet is allowed.
The cancellation terms and the date by which each payment is due.

Which is the biggest wedding hall at Palace Grounds?

On published figures, Royal Tripura Vasini claims the largest main hall at 7,000 seated, though its own timeline says 3,000. Gayatri Vihar's Royal Banquet Hall lists 5,000 seated and 10,000 floating, and Chamara Vajra's Maanikya is a 30,000 sq ft hall for 5,000 or more.

How much does a Palace Grounds wedding hall cost?

Listed plates run from ₹500 veg on the Tripura Vasini White Petals lawn to ₹3,500 at Gayatri Vihar, read on WedMeGood on 26 September 2026. Hall rent is rarely published, and Royal Tripura Vasini and Chamara Vajra publish no price at all. For 1,000 guests, the plate alone ranges from ₹5 lakh to ₹35 lakh a function.

Can we bring our own caterer to Palace Grounds venues?

It depends on the hall. Anantya takes outside caterers only. Princess Shrine, the White Petals lawn and Royal Tripura Vasini allow in-house or your own approved caterer. Gayatri Vihar is in-house only. Chamara Vajra does not publish its policy.

Is alcohol allowed at Palace Grounds weddings?

At most of these halls there is no in-house bar. Gayatri Vihar, Anantya and the White Petals lawn list outside alcohol as permitted. Princess Shrine allows none. Royal Tripura Vasini and Chamara Vajra do not publish a policy, so ask in writing.

Which Palace Grounds venue is vegetarian only?

Chamara Vajra's Maanikya lists a pure-veg kitchen. Its Marakata page lists both a veg and non-veg kitchen and a pure-veg one, so confirm for your hall. Royal Tripura Vasini has separate veg and non-veg kitchens.

Can music run past 10 pm at Palace Grounds?

Outdoors, no: India's Noise Pollution Rules stop loudspeakers at 10 pm. Closed premises such as banquet halls are exempt and follow the venue's own timing, so a late reception belongs in an indoor hall rather than on a lawn.

Is Chamara Vajra one venue or three?

Is Palace Grounds the same as Bangalore Palace?

No. The halls on this page are separate venues on and beside the Palace Grounds estate, each with its own site or listing and its own terms. This page does not cover the palace building itself, and we print no figure for it.

Is Panigrahana one of these venues?

No. Panigrahana Weddings is a planning and design studio. The hall takes the booking; we plan, design and build the wedding inside it, and take no commission from any venue or vendor.
