Terraced. It curves and steps down in shallow tiers towards a stage at the low end, ringed by mature trees. The tiering gives natural sightlines, which means you do not need to raise the mandap on scaffolding for the back rows to see.

Yes. The listing records outside decorators permitted, with in-house decor also available from ₹60,000. Catering is in-house, so the design freedom is real but the menu is the venue's. On a terraced lawn like this one, that split works in your favour: the design is the part that needs a specific hand, and the food is the part a club kitchen handles well.

Yes, in-house. The club has its own bar, Tonic Lounge, alongside The Melting Pot restaurant and The Baking Company. Confirm whether outside alcohol is permitted for your event, as the listing's terms for that are not explicit.

The banquet hall at 100 seated, against a lawn that takes 500. That is not a like-for-like fallback. From June to October, a structure over the lawn should be agreed at contract stage rather than arranged in the final week.

A swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, badminton, table tennis, billiards, a gym, a spa, a salon and a library, plus three food and beverage outlets. For a two-day wedding, that gives guests somewhere to be between functions, which most venues cannot offer.

The venue also dropped 'Club' from its public name. Ask which names are current when you enquire, so your floor plans match the contract.

The in-house catering with permitted outside decorators arrangement is consistent across their properties, so if you have negotiated it at one you know what to expect at another.

Stop building height and start building along the tiers. A lawn that steps down towards a stage already has amphitheatre geometry, so a low floral or light run along each step reads as concentric rings from the stage and gives the photographer something a flat lawn cannot. The tree ring is the ceiling: uplight the trunks, hang festoon between them at about five metres, and if a tent is needed, cover only the seating so the tree line stays in frame.
