Designed, not just planned

How we would design a wedding at Hard Rock Hotel Goa

Most hotel ballrooms are blank boxes. These rooms are not: Elektra carries music memorabilia and 3D carpets, and Chrysalis has a ceiling of interlocking drumsticks. Covering that with drapes costs money and still looks like a cover. We would lean into it instead, with a concert-style stage, a lighting rig and a dance floor, and save the florals and fabric for the poolside tent, where there is nothing to fight. A tent by the pool needs engineering for wind and a written plan for a pre-monsoon shower, and the pool edge needs lighting after dark for guests' safety.
