Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel, Mysore: Wedding Cost and Venue Guide

The hotel's own rental card lists the Front Lawns at ₹3,88,500, the Swimming Pool Lawn at ₹1,98,900 and the Banquet Hall at ₹1,95,000, each plus 18% GST. A refundable ₹1,00,000 security deposit and a ₹5,000 cleaning charge are added. Food is in-house and priced separately, and rooms, decor and production come on top.

Neither the hotel nor its WedMeGood listing publishes a per-plate rate. Catering is in-house only, so ask the hotel for its wedding menu card with vegetarian and non-vegetarian tiers, the minimum number of plates, and whether the menu price changes on a peak muhurtham date.

The hotel says it offers customised wedding packages and services with an in-house events team, but it publishes none of them. What it does publish is the rental card for each space. Ask for any package in writing next to that card, so you can see what the package adds beyond the space hire.

The figures conflict. The hotel says its Emerald ballroom, Coral conference room and front lawns together accommodate 20 to 5,000 guests. WedMeGood lists the banquet hall at 80 seated or 120 floating, one lawn at 150 seated or 200 floating, and the restaurant at 50 seated. Ask for a measured plan of the lawn you want.

The WedMeGood listing records in-house decor only. Ask the hotel in writing whether an outside design studio may build under its supervision, and on what terms, before you commission a mandap. It is a heritage building, so fixings, load-in routes and floor protection will all need approval.

The listing records in-house alcohol as available and outside alcohol as not permitted. The hotel runs its own bar, the Cue Bar, at lobby level. Plan the bar through the hotel, and get the per-head or consumption rate for your function in writing.

Plan on 10 pm outdoors. The national noise rules stop amplified sound in the open at 10 pm, which covers both lawns. The listing records the in-house DJ as available and outside DJs as not permitted, so the sound supplier is the hotel's unless it agrees otherwise in writing.

It is run by Jungle Lodges & Resorts, a Government of Karnataka company. The state is in the process of leasing it to a private operator for 30 years. In July 2026 Jungle Lodges said it expected to complete the tender within two months and the lease within four. Ask what happens to your booking if the operator changes before your date.

October to March. The two lawns are outdoor spaces, and April and May afternoons in Mysuru are too hot for daytime functions. In the monsoon months only the Banquet Hall gives cover, and it holds 120 standing on the listing, so larger weddings need a marquee plan.
