Most pricing questions about Bangalore weddings are two questions tangled together: what does the planner charge, and what will the wedding cost. We keep them apart. Our planning fee pays for our time, design and production; every other rupee goes from you to the vendor who earned it.

What does each planning scope include, and how is the fee quoted?

Three scopes: full planning and design from 12 to 18 months out, partial planning from 6 to 12 months out, and wedding-week management from four to six weeks out. Each is written down as a list of what we own and what you keep, and the planning fee is quoted for that agreed scope as a flat figure.

There is no fixed minimum wedding budget and no cap. What sets the fee is the work inside the scope: how many functions we are designing and producing, the guest count each has to hold, how much mandap, stage and installation work our own workshop builds, and how many days our team is on the ground. Two couples with the same total spend can carry very different planning loads, which is why we quote after the scope conversation.

Whichever scope you choose, the private couple portal is included in the fee. The scope document sits inside it under “What’s included”, in writing, before anything is signed. If a scope grows mid-way, say a fourth function is added, the fee is re-quoted for the new scope as a written revision. How are the venue, catering, decor and photography lines quoted?

Separately from the planning fee, and each in the vendor’s own name. Bangalore’s 5-star hotels quote a per-plate minimum with the hall included; garden estates quote a day rental with your caterer on top; decor is quoted from a dimensioned drawing; photography is a direct contract. You pay each vendor’s invoice directly.

Venue and catering. At the city’s 5-star hotels there is no separate hall charge. The space sits inside a per-plate rate quoted against a minimum guest guarantee, so the negotiation is about the plate price, the guarantee behind it and the room block, not a rental. Bar, live counters and premium menus sit outside the plate and should appear as their own lines. Garden and heritage estates work the other way round: a day rental for the property, then your caterer on a separate contract. We negotiate both models, but the quote is issued by the venue to you, in writing, for your dates, before anything is designed around it.

Decor. Because our architects design and our own team builds, decor is quoted from a dimensioned drawing, a named material list and a lighting plan for each function, not from a catalogue page. It is the one vendor line where we are the vendor, and it is quoted as its own document so you can compare it with any other decorator on the same drawing.

Photography, film, entertainment, hospitality. Each is contracted directly between you and the vendor. We shortlist, brief, schedule and manage them; the invoice comes to you at the vendor’s price. What does a 200- and 300-guest Bangalore wedding total?

What do we receive before paying anything, and what does the payment schedule look like?

Before any money moves you receive the scope in writing, the five named people who will run your wedding, and a planning timeline for your date. The planning fee is then paid in instalments released against planning milestones rather than as a lump sum, each recorded in your portal with a due date and a paid date.

The first conversation is free and we reply within 24 hours. From it you get a written scope for the level you have chosen, the names of your first-call contact, planner, production lead, head of operations and finance contact, and a timeline that works backwards from your muhurtham.

Once you sign, the schedule is milestone-shaped rather than percentage-shaped: money is released when a stage is delivered, not before, so the instalments fall against planning milestones rather than as one lump sum. Every instalment appears in the portal’s payments view the moment it is received, next to each vendor’s own due and paid dates, so both families can see what is settled and what is next. Does the fee change for a couple planning from abroad?

No. The fee is quoted for scope, not for where you live. The cadence is the same: a monthly video call with your lead planner, a written update of decisions, a shared planning document, WhatsApp for anything time-sensitive, and vendor presentations by video call. Two trips to India are comfortable for most couples: a planning trip around six to nine months out to confirm the venue, taste in person and meet the key vendors, and the wedding trip itself. Between those, venue spaces are walked on video call, decor is approved from the design deck in the portal before it is built, and meeting minutes are published for parents in another city to read on their own schedule. How do we compare two planner quotes when one marks up vendors?

Put both on one sheet: planning fee on its own line, then every vendor at the vendor’s own invoice. Ask each planner whether they take vendor commission, whether you will see original invoices, and whether the planning fee is stated separately. A quote that cannot be split this way hides its margin in the vendor lines.

A low headline fee with vendors quoted as one bundled figure is the usual shape of a marked-up quote. A percentage-of-budget fee is a different model, legitimate when disclosed, but it means the person advising you on the budget earns more when the budget grows.
