Indicative. Dates cross-checked against drikpanchang.com (Bengaluru) and ganeshaspeaks.com on 30 August 2026. Your family purohit computes the final muhurtham from the couple’s charts.

The date comes first and the venue follows it. On a cross-agreed muhurtham in May or late November, the better-known Bangalore hotels and estates are held 9 to 12 months out, and the Saturday-evening reception slot before it goes first. Pick the muhurtham with your purohit, then bring it to us; we work every other event backwards from it.

Which months of 2027 have wedding muhurthams in Bangalore?

Bangalore has 95 vivah muhurtham dates in 2027 that both drikpanchang.com (computed for Bengaluru) and ganeshaspeaks.com list, spread across nine months. The table below publishes only those dates. Two dates that appear on one source and not the other, 24 January and 1 July, are left out and noted. The nakshatra column is the one drikpanchang.com gives for the Bengaluru muhurtham window on that day. Treat all of it as indicative: the panchang shuddhi is the same for every couple, but the lagna and the couple’s own charts are not, and that is the part your family purohit computes.

Why are there no wedding dates from mid-July to early November 2027?

Chaturmas in 2027 runs from Devshayani Ekadashi in mid-July to Prabodhini Ekadashi around 9 November, and the panchang lists no vivah muhurtham for those four lunar months. Vishnu is held to be asleep through these months, and the big samskaras wait for him to wake. Drikpanchang.com adds two more blocks on top of it for Bengaluru: Shukra asta, when Venus sits too close to the Sun to be visible, through August, and the Kanya solar month from 16 September to 17 October. Guru asta, the same rule for Jupiter, is checked the same way and can close weeks in other years. The result for 2027 is a clean gap: 13 July to 9 November with nothing on either source. August to October 2026 closed the same way, so this is the normal shape of the year. Tamil families work from a different calendar and can hold dates inside this window, outside Aadi and Purattasi.

What is kharmas and which 2027 weeks does it block?

Kharmas is the Dhanur solar month, about 16 December to 14 January, when the Sun transits Sagittarius and vivah is set aside across most of India. In 2027 it closes 1 to 14 January at the start of the year and 16 to 31 December at the end. Drikpanchang.com applies the same solar-month rule to Meena masa, 15 March to 14 April 2027, which is why the Bengaluru list drops from 14 March straight to 18 April. Some families treat Meena more loosely than Dhanur; ask your purohit before ruling out a late-March date you like. The blocked weeks are where venue availability is widest and hotel rates softest, which matters if your family does not follow the panchang.

Does Holashtak affect South Indian weddings in 2027?

Holashtak is the eight-day stretch before Holi, in late March 2027, that North Indian families keep free of weddings. Most South Indian families do not observe it at all. For 2027 the question is moot in Bangalore anyway, because the whole of 15 March to 14 April is already closed as Meena solar month on drikpanchang.com. Where it does matter is a mixed family, one side from Delhi or Jaipur and one from Mysore, and there the safer course is to pick a date that satisfies both calendars rather than argue the point. February and the second half of April 2027 do that comfortably.

Which nakshatras are used for a vivah muhurtham?

Eleven nakshatras carry the vivah muhurtham in most South Indian traditions: Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati. Every cross-agreed 2027 date in the table falls on one of them. Rohini, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta and Swati are the five that families ask for by name; Mula and Jyeshtha are accepted by some purohits and avoided by others, so 24 April 2027 (Jyeshtha into Anuradha) is one to raise with yours. The nakshatra sets the day. The tithi, the weekday and the lagna then set the hour, and that is why two families with the same date can have muhurthams three hours apart at the same hotel.

How do Tamil, Kannada and Kerala families pick wedding dates differently?

Tamil families in Bangalore avoid three months, Aadi (mid-July to mid-August), Purattasi (mid-September to mid-October) and Margazhi (mid-December to mid-January), and otherwise follow the Tamil panchangam, which can give dates in weeks the North-style panchang closes. Kannada families broadly follow the Bengaluru panchang above, with the family purohit reading the couple’s charts for the lagna; the dhare and the rest of the ritual order stay the same whichever date is chosen. Kerala Hindu families compute the muhurtham per family using the Malayalam calendar, so for Kerala we publish month patterns rather than a fixed list: the same Chaturmas and Dhanu gaps apply, and the strongest months mirror Bangalore’s. Kerala Christian and Muslim weddings, and Goan Catholic weddings, do not use the panchang at all. They are booked around the parish, Lent and the monsoon, which is why a Goa church wedding in October is common while a Goa Hindu wedding in October is rare.

How does Panigrahana book venues against the muhurtham window?

Panigrahana holds the muhurtham date first and works every other event backwards from it: reception the evening before or after, mehndi and haldi a day earlier, the family dinner before that. A cross-agreed weekend muhurtham in May or late November 2027 is booked 9 to 12 months out at the better-known Bangalore hotels and estates, so the hold goes in before decor or catering is discussed. Off-window dates, and weekdays inside the window, unlock the most venue flexibility: the same hall that is gone for 22 May 2027 is usually open, and better priced, on 19 May. Our fee is flat and you pay the venue directly at its own rate, so we have no reason to push you toward any particular date or hall. Send us your muhurtham and guest count and we will tell you the same day which venues on our 108-venue Bangalore roster are still open.

For the ritual side of choosing a date, read muhurtham explained for everyone. For the ceremony itself, see our guides for a Kannada wedding in Bangalore and a Tamil wedding in Bangalore, and plan the months in between with the Bangalore wedding checklist.
