It is a new hotel on the Tata group's Gateway brand, so it has few weddings behind it and little published detail beyond the listing. How we would design a wedding at Gateway Goa Palolem
A new resort has clean surfaces and no patina, so the decor has to supply the warmth: layered lighting, textiles and flowers rather than hard structures. Green Island is the one big outdoor canvas, and a mandap there should face the view the resort sells, towards the sea and the beaches around Palolem. Indoors, Patnem Hall needs a strong stage wall and a lighting rig to feel like a wedding rather than a conference.
