Choose the seat before the backdrop
Tell the designer whether one person or the couple will sit together, and whether relatives will join them on the same seat. A generous backdrop does not solve a cramped seat or a blocked approach. Use the courtyard and lattice references to discuss the relationship between the seat, flowers and family access, rather than selecting a backdrop in isolation.
Keep the colour decision specific
Yellow can come from marigolds, a painted panel, fabric or the clothing in the scene. Choose which of those should carry the colour in your own event. In the Kerala references, marigold garlands and the backdrop are useful details to bring into a discussion. In the Bangalore courtyard reference, consider how the floral baskets sit within the existing setting. None of these choices requires every element of the event to match.
Write the reset into the event plan
A haldi can involve water, paste, flowers and people moving between the ceremony and refreshments. Ask how the floor will be protected, where guests can clean up and who clears the route afterwards. If another function uses the same area, give the teams a clear changeover time. Add these needs beside your saved photograph so the first design conversation includes how the space will be used.
