Approve a specification, not just an image

Use the actual venue, agreed dimensions, materials, lighting and included production work. Ask which drawings or samples are part of your proposal. Retrospective venue studies explain completed work; they are not original approval drawings or a promise that photographs will exactly match a render.

Confirm payments in writing

The agreed written proposal specifies payment amounts, due dates and delivery or approval milestones. No universal percentage split is promised.

Planning starts at ₹2 lakh per day for two events; decor starts at ₹5 lakh. Both exclude GST. Decor production depends on the design and is itemised in the decor proposal. Venue, accommodation, food and other suppliers are separate. Zero vendor commission does not mean in-house services are supplied without margin.

Shortlist remotely and confirm appointments before travel. A visit can cover venue inspection, tasting, material review and trials according to availability. No fixed five-day trip, weekly workshop video or universal meeting slot is included by this page.

Choose a proposed time in your own zone. The result shows the date and time in India too. This checks the clocks; it does not book availability.

Avoid the gaps that make remote planning difficult

A decision made on a call can be lost if nobody records it. Keep the approved drawing or reference, the date and the person who approved it together. When a new version is issued, make clear which earlier version it replaces.

Do not leave room allocations, vendor arrival times or the rain plan until the couple lands. Ask the responsible people to confirm these while there is still time to change arrangements. Track unanswered questions separately from approved work.

Make on-site responsibility explicit

An event may involve a planning team, venue team, decorators and specialist suppliers. Ask who checks the installation, who coordinates guest movement and who runs each function. Record how these people contact one another and who can approve a change.

If the lead coordinator changes, request a handover covering the latest scope, drawings, guest arrangements, supplier commitments and unresolved decisions. Ask the incoming lead to confirm receipt rather than assuming a shared chat contains everything.
