How we would design a wedding at Ramada by Wyndham Kochi
The Pandhal is the reason to come here, and it is open to the lake, so everything built on it is designed for wind off the water and for a sky that goes dark behind the stage. Build low and weighted, light the water's edge rather than the trees, and keep fabric spans short. A reception for 1,000 outdoors needs a distributed sound system and a stage raised enough to read from the back row. The Royale Club seats about 150 on WedMeGood, so a monsoon wedding larger than that needs a covered structure on the lawn, costed from the start. Outside decorators are permitted: agree load-in windows and available power in writing early.

Season and weather
December to February is the dependable dry window for an evening on the Pandhal. The south-west monsoon sets in over Kerala around 1 June and runs to September (IMD), so an outdoor date in those months needs a covered plan from the first layout. Ask the resort which muhurtham weekends and Christmas-week dates are already held before you settle on one; we check the date with the resort for you.
Arrivals, access and logistics
Wyndham puts the resort 45 minutes from Cochin International Airport (COK), and the resort says it is about 10 km from Kochi city. For a large wedding the transport plan is the work: guests staying in city hotels need scheduled coaches both ways, a covered drop-off and a departure sequence after the 10 pm outdoor cut-off.
