Taj Bangalore, DoubleTree Airport or Aldovia: which airport hotel suits your wedding?
Choose Taj Bangalore when most guests fly in: a five-minute walk from the terminals, 370 keys and plates from ₹4,200 veg. Choose Aldovia for a big, cheaper wedding: a 25,000 sq ft hall for up to 3,000 and plates from ₹1,000 veg. DoubleTree Airport opened in February 2026 with 304 rooms and has published no wedding rates.

The three hotels on the figures they publish
All three sit on the Devanahalli side of the city, within a short drive of Kempegowda International Airport. They are very different buildings. Taj Bangalore is a five-star hotel beside the airport. DoubleTree is a new, large hotel inside the Aerospace Park. Aldovia, formerly Clarks Exotica, is a 70-acre convention resort.

The two ballroom figures differ. Taj's own events page seats 400 at round tables and 1,400 at a reception; WedMeGood lists 220 seated. Ask the hotel which set-up your quote uses, in writing, before you plan to either number.
What the food line looks like for 300 guests
Hotels here sell the evening against food. Multiply the listed plate by your guest count and the number of catered functions and you have the floor of the biggest line on the venue bill. The figures below are that arithmetic on the listed starting plates, before taxes.

A listed plate is an entry menu. A wedding menu with live counters, a sweets table and a late-night course is quoted above it, and the hotel will also name a minimum plate count for each room on each date. Ask for both in writing for your exact dates, and ask whether any hall charge sits on top of the food.
Rooms at a room-block rate usually differ from the listing's figure, in either direction. Use the room column above to size the conversation, not to budget the wedding.
Match the hotel to the guest list
Where each one fits
- Taj Bangalore: 150 to 350 guests, most of them flying in, and a formal ballroom evening. Elders on early flights walk to the terminal instead of leaving at dawn.
- Aldovia: a reception for 800 or more, where one room has to hold everyone and the food budget matters. Its 144 rooms will not house that list, so plan where the rest sleep.
- DoubleTree Airport: a family that wants 304 rooms under one roof and is willing to shortlist a hotel whose ballroom chart and wedding terms are not public yet.
If the guest list is mostly Bangalore family who will drive home each night, none of these three is the obvious answer. An airport-belt hotel earns its distance from the city only when a large share of guests arrive by air or need a room.
Outdoor functions and the 10 pm rule
India's Noise Pollution Rules stop loudspeakers and public address systems outdoors between 10 pm and 6 am. Closed premises such as banquet halls are exempt, so a ballroom sangeet can run later on the hotel's own terms. The state can relax the rule to midnight only on notified festive days, which a private wedding cannot count on.
Taj Bangalore lists one outdoor space, the West Wing Lawns at 200 floating, so its weddings are indoor weddings. Aldovia has the most open ground of the three: Eden Lawn and the Galaxy Grand Courtyard. Put the haldi and mehendi outside there, and keep the late function indoors.
The decor line on each listing
Taj Bangalore's listing records in-house decor. If you are bringing your own designer, get the outside-designer terms in writing before you pay a deposit: any access fee, the load-in window, rigging points and the ceiling load under that 8 m ceiling. Aldovia permits outside decorators, and its own decor on the listing starts at ₹50,000, which is a floor rather than a wedding figure. DoubleTree has published nothing on decor yet.
This matters to us because we design and build every mandap and stage in our own studio, with a 30-person in-house team. A hotel's decor rules decide how much of that design can reach the room, and how many hours the build gets.
Send these questions to all three hotels
- The capacity chart for every room you might use, seated and floating, and whether the ballrooms connect.
- The minimum plate count per room, per function, on your dates, and the charge if you fall short.
- The written wedding menus with prices, taxes shown separately.
- The room-block rate for your nights, how many rooms they will hold, and the release date.
- Terms for an outside designer: access fee, load-in hours, rigging and open-flame rules for a homam.
- Bar policy, corkage if any, and the finishing time for music in each room.
- Airport transfers: whether the hotel runs them, and how it handles 50 arrivals in one afternoon.
Keep the replies in one thread. Parents relax when they can see three hotels' answers side by side on paper, rather than three sales managers' promises.
Questions couples ask
Which wedding hotel is closest to Bangalore airport?
Taj Bangalore. Its own factsheet puts it a five-minute walk from the domestic and international terminals. Aldovia gives 10 minutes from the airport and DoubleTree Bengaluru Airport gives 15 minutes, both by road. For guests on early flights, especially elders, the walk is the reason to choose the Taj.
What does a wedding at Taj Bangalore cost per plate?
Its WedMeGood listing shows ₹4,200 veg and ₹5,000 non-veg per plate, taxes extra, read on 26 September 2026. For 300 guests that is ₹12.6 lakh to ₹15 lakh per function before taxes, and a wedding menu is usually quoted above the listed floor. Ask the hotel for its current menus and minimum plate count for your dates.
Is Aldovia the same place as Clarks Exotica?
Yes. Its WedMeGood listing is titled Aldovia Resort & Convention, formerly known as Clarks Exotica Resort and Spa. It is a 70-acre resort about 10 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, with a 25,000 sq ft convention hall for up to 3,000 and 144 rooms.
Does DoubleTree Bengaluru Airport host weddings, and what does it cost?
It has two ballrooms within more than 9,000 sq ft of event space and 304 rooms, according to Hilton's opening release of 2 February 2026. It has published no wedding rate, plate or ballroom capacity that we could find. Ask for the capacity chart, the menus and the outside-decorator terms before you hold a date.
How many guests can Aldovia hold?
Aldovia's own venues page gives up to 3,000 in the 25,000 sq ft Ocean Convention Center and up to 900 in the 6,834 sq ft Galaxy Grand Ballroom. Its WedMeGood listing puts Ocean at 2,500 seated and 3,000 floating. For a seated dinner, plan to the seated figure.
Which of the three has the most rooms for guests?
Taj Bangalore, with 370 keys on its factsheet (its WedMeGood listing says 363). DoubleTree Bengaluru Airport has 304 rooms and suites, and Aldovia 144. If you need 150 or more guests sleeping at the venue, Aldovia cannot do it alone.
Can we bring our own decorator to these hotels?
Aldovia's listing says outside decorators are permitted. Taj Bangalore's listing records in-house decor, so ask in writing what an outside designer may build and at what charge. DoubleTree has not published a decor policy. Get the load-in hours and rigging rules from all three.
Can the sangeet run past 10 pm?
Indoors, the hotel decides, because closed premises such as banquet halls are exempt from the national 10 pm loudspeaker rule. Outdoors, amplified sound has to stop at 10 pm. At these three hotels that means a late sangeet belongs in a ballroom, not on a lawn or pool deck.
