Yes. Clarks Exotica Convention Resort & Spa now trades as Aldovia Resort & Convention. The resort's own site carries 'Formerly known as Clarks Exotica Convention Resort & Spa' in its footer, and its WedMeGood listing runs the old name in brackets under the new one. Same 70 acres, same convention hall, same rooms. Search both names, and check which one any quote, photograph or review from before 2025 refers to.

₹1,000 per plate vegetarian and ₹1,300 non-vegetarian, taxes extra, on the WedMeGood listing (checked 11 September 2026). That is roughly a quarter of the published plate at the airport-side five-star hotels, and it is the whole commercial argument for the venue. Catering is in-house only, so the plate is also the venue line; a wedding-grade menu with live counters sits above the listing floor.

The Ocean Convention Center is 25,000 sq ft with a 3,000-guest maximum on Aldovia's own venues page; the WedMeGood listing sizes it at 2,500 seated / 3,000 floating. Seventy acres, per Aldovia's own homepage, which also advertises a 5,000-plus capacity across the property. The resort's aerial photography shows the main accommodation and dining wings around a free-form pool with a waterslide and tennis courts, and the Ocean convention hall standing as a separate building with its own paved forecourt and fountain further out on the grounds.

Aldovia's own site says ten minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, which makes it one of the closest large-capacity wedding venues to the terminals. Central Bengaluru is roughly 35 km and about an hour. For a very large local guest list, run coaches from two or three city pick-up points; for a fly-in list, the ten-minute transfer is the venue's strongest practical argument after the plate.

Yes. The WedMeGood listing records outside decorators permitted, and its about-text is explicit that outside vendors are allowed for décor, DJ, photography and other services. The listing separately shows a ₹50,000 starting price for the resort's own decor, which is the in-house floor, not a wedding figure. Confirm load-in windows, rigging rules in the Ocean hall, and ground-protection terms for Eden Lawn in writing.

144 rooms and suites, per the WedMeGood listing, at a published ₹7,500 per room. The resort's own site describes Deluxe rooms of 350–412 sq ft, Luxury rooms at 350 sq ft, a 532 sq ft one-bedroom suite, a 730 sq ft two-bedroom suite sleeping six, a 620 sq ft Deluxe Suite and a Presidential Suite. Panigrahana's earlier roster carried 150 rooms; the listing figure of 144 is the sourced one.

Yes, and the published numbers need checking. Aldovia's venues page lists Eden Lawn at 16,356 sq ft and the Galaxy Grand Courtyard at 24,800 sq ft, but its stated maximums for both read 100 guests, which cannot be right for those footprints — the Eden Lawn description on the same page says 400. The WedMeGood listing shows a lawn at 100 seated / 200 floating and a poolside at 200 / 250. Get the current capacity sheet in writing.

Because the rebrand changed them. Aldovia's current venues page uses Ocean, Galaxy Grand Ballroom, Galaxy Grand Courtyard, Galaxy Grand Dining, Eden Lawn, Lotus, Sunflower, Rose, Orchid, Jasmine, Tulip, Lily and two boardrooms. The WedMeGood listing still carries the old Clarks Exotica vocabulary — Ocean, Galaxy, Senate, Summit, Chambers, Cosmos, Chancellor, Embassy, Imperium. Ask the resort which old name maps to which room before you sign for one.

There is no published hall rental. The convention halls are quoted per date against a catering minimum, so the plate count you guarantee is effectively the venue price. Ask for the minimum per space, per function, in writing — Ocean at 25,000 sq ft and Jasmine at 1,026 sq ft will carry very different floors, and picking the smaller room is often the single biggest saving available on this property.

The WedMeGood listing records parking for over 1,000 cars, which is unusual and is one of the practical reasons this venue can actually host a 2,500-guest reception. Most Bengaluru venues that claim large capacities cannot land the cars that come with it. Confirm the count and the arrival routing for your date, and plan a staged arrival window if the guest list is over about 1,500.

Catering is in-house only, per the WedMeGood listing, covering vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus from about ₹1,000 and ₹1,300 a plate respectively. Alcohol is served through the resort's licensed bar and priced separately from the plate; outside alcohol is not permitted. An in-house DJ is available and outside DJs are also permitted, which is a more open policy than most five-star hotels offer.

It is one of the few in Bengaluru that genuinely works for one. A muhurtham lunch for 1,500 and a reception for 2,500 need a pillar-less room of Ocean's size, parking for a thousand cars, and a plate that does not make the guest count ruinous — and this is the only property near the airport that has all three. The resort's own photography shows carved-pillar entrance sets and traditional floral work, so the room takes a traditional build well.

October to February for weather and for auspicious dates, and the large rooms on those weekends go early because weddings at this guest count have few alternatives. Because Ocean and Galaxy are indoors, the monsoon costs you Eden Lawn and the courtyard rather than the wedding, so June to September is genuinely viable here and usually cheaper. March to May is warm and pushes daytime functions inside.

Different brackets entirely. Aldovia is 70 acres with a 3,000-capacity hall at about ₹1,000 a plate and 144 rooms. Taj Bangalore is a 370-key five-star a five-minute walk from the terminals at ₹4,200–₹5,000 a plate, with a 1,400-reception ballroom. JW Marriott Golfshire is a golf-course resort with 301 rooms in between. If your guest count is above about 1,200, Aldovia is the only one of the three that can actually seat it.

Because the rebrand is newer than the search demand. Panigrahana's Search Console data shows 'clarks exotica' still drawing around 430 impressions in a 90-day window with almost nothing on the new name. If you are comparing quotes, looking up reviews or sending a venue link to your parents, use both names — most of the useful history, including the WedMeGood reviews from 2021 and 2022, is filed under Clarks Exotica.

Aldovia Resort & Convention has 144 rooms, and guests flying in are the ones who need them: the family that lands at 3 am, the elderly relatives who cannot do a daily transfer, and anyone with a connecting flight home. Hold those rooms for the overseas list first and put local guests in a nearby hotel, not the other way round. 144 rooms sleep roughly 288 people, so anything above that needs a block held before the invitations go out.
