Ocean is a 25,000 sq ft hall with a good ceiling and a strong blue-and-gold patterned carpet, and its scale rewards a design that is drawn to size. Start with a perimeter: a drape or greens line set inside the walls so the room you use matches the guest count. Then use the height, because at this size a suspended element is the gesture that reads from the back of the room, and draw the palette out of the blue-and-gold carpet or cover the floor. Galaxy is the calmer room: 6,834 sq ft, a 21 ft ceiling, chandeliers and a sage-and-cream interior, with the 24,800 sq ft courtyard beside it. Design the two as one space, with a continuous floor and one lighting temperature, and you have an indoor-outdoor reception few Bangalore hotels can offer. Outdoors, give Eden Lawn and the courtyard a built horizon of tall greens or drape so the frame holds on the ceremony.
