The resort's events factsheet names two halls, Celebrations (403 m²) and Lotus (222.6 m²), the 3,757.9 m² Riverside Lawn, a 9,573 m² open-air Amphitheatre and two small meeting rooms. WedMeGood lists the two halls as Hall 1 and Hall 2 and the lawn with the amphitheatre as one outdoor space for 1,000 seated.

It still does not absorb a lawn function for 800, so ask what the plan is at your exact headcount, how late the call can be made, and who pays if it means a structure.

Better than its neighbours can. The south-west monsoon runs June to September and is heavy on this coast, but a 403 m² hall means a mid-size wedding can be genuinely anchored indoors with outdoor functions treated as a bonus. Plan it that way from the first layout rather than converting an outdoor programme late.

October to March, with December and January the strongest — dry, clear and comfortable outdoors after four. April and May are dry but humid, so evening functions work better than afternoon ones. June to September is monsoon and needs an indoor-anchored programme, which this property supports better than most on the coast.

The listing contradicts itself. Its facts panel records in-house alcohol available and outside alcohol not permitted; its prose on the same page says in-house and outside alcohol are both permitted. That is not a detail to leave unresolved if the bar is a meaningful budget line, so get the policy confirmed in writing before you plan around either answer.

By scale and by freedom. Gateway is the largest: 151 rooms, 1,000 seated outdoors on WedMeGood and a 403 m² hall, and it is the only one of the three that permits outside decorators. Taj Bekal has 77 rooms, three 300-seat lawns and the Taj name. The LaLiT has 38 all-suite keys and a 500-seat helipad lawn.

Less so than its neighbours. At 151 rooms and with a 1,000-seat outdoor setting, this is a large property, and an intimate function will feel like it is borrowing a corner of it. Lotus, at 100 theatre-style, handles a small ceremony, but a fifty-guest buyout wedding is better served by one of the smaller Bekal resorts.
