About Sheraton Grand Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center

Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield is east Bangalore's convention-scale wedding hotel: a 14,884 sq ft Convention Space with a fifty-foot clear height that takes 2,000 standing, the Scarlet Ballroom at 9,672 sq ft for 362 at dinner rounds, and eighteen event rooms in all — 40,447 sq ft — inside Prestige Shantiniketan at Whitefield. For an ITPL-belt family with a thousand-guest reception, it is the room.

Marriott's chart sizes every room; the honest caveat is outdoors — a 4,600 sq ft Party Lawn for 300 is the only open-air space — and the room count, which listings put at 246 or 360. Panigrahana designs the Convention Space as a great hall: a wide stage, a lit ceiling that uses the height, long table runs, and the Scarlet Ballroom as the sangeet room the night before.

Convention Space — 14,884 sq ft, 50 ft clear height, 2,000 at a reception (Marriott events page)
Scarlet Ballroom — 9,672 sq ft, 362 at rounds / 1,000 reception, divisible into three (Marriott)
18 event rooms and 40,447 sq ft in all, with a 4,600 sq ft Party Lawn (Marriott)
Parking for about 500 cars in Prestige Shantiniketan (listings)
₹3,800 per plate, veg or non-veg, published; in-house decor and catering (WedMeGood listing)

Designed, not just planned

How we would design a wedding at Sheraton Grand Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center

Fifty feet of height: suspended installations and lighting rigs read here as nowhere else in Bangalore. Design the Convention Space as one room with a strong centre; use Scarlet for a warmer sangeet.

Which function goes where

Haldi	The Party Lawn in the morning.
Mehendi	Zinnia (150 at rounds) with controlled light.
Sangeet	The Scarlet Ballroom with a stage and dance floor, 362 at rounds / 1,000 standing.
Wedding ceremony	The Convention Space in rows (1,800) or at rounds (490).
Reception	The Convention Space — 2,000 standing.

Season and weather

October to March for the Party Lawn and poolside. The Convention Space and Scarlet are indoors, so a monsoon wedding loses only the lawn. Muhurtham weekends go a year ahead.

Arrivals, access and logistics

Hoodi and Whitefield metro stations serve the area; Kempegowda International Airport is the north run. Whitefield's hotels absorb overflow. Confirm truck load-in for the convention space.

Sheraton Grand Whitefield policies

Alcohol	In-house bar; outside alcohol not permitted (WedMeGood listing).
Music and DJ	No in-house DJ; outside DJs permitted (WedMeGood listing). The Party Lawn and poolside stop amplified sound at 10 pm; the Convention Space and Scarlet run later under the hotel's rules.
Music curfew	Bengaluru closes amplified outdoor sound at 10 pm, which binds lawns and terraces; ballrooms run later under the hotel's rules. Confirm in writing.
Fireworks and effects	Not published by the hotel or its listing. Confirm in writing before planning any pyrotechnics or cold pyro.
Parking	Parking for about 500 vehicles (listings).

Is Sheraton Grand Whitefield the right venue for your wedding?

Asked and answered

Sheraton Grand Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center wedding questions

How many guests can Sheraton Grand Whitefield hold for a wedding?

Marriott's chart lists the Convention Space at 14,884 sq ft for 2,000 at a reception, 1,800 in theatre rows or 490 at banquet rounds, and the Scarlet Ballroom at 9,672 sq ft for 1,000 at a reception or 362 at rounds, with a 4,600 sq ft Party Lawn for 300.

How many rooms does Sheraton Grand Whitefield have?

WedMeGood lists 360 rooms (checked 26 September 2026); another listing says 246, and Marriott's events page does not give a count. Confirm the room block with the hotel before you plan the guest list around it.

What does a wedding at Sheraton Grand Whitefield cost per plate?

The WedMeGood listing publishes ₹3,800 per plate for vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike, taxes extra (checked 26 September 2026), with the hotel's own decor from ₹75,000 and rooms at ₹23,200 each. The hotel contracts on a minimum spend per function and quotes the Convention Space separately, so ask for the minimum per space in writing.

Does Sheraton Grand Whitefield have wedding packages?

Marriott's events page offers weddings through Marriott Certified Wedding Planners and says the hotel takes up to 2,000 wedding guests, but no package price is published. The listing's ₹3,800 plate is the only public figure. Ask for the package inclusions, the minimum guarantee and the room-block release date in one proposal.

Can we bring our own decorator to Sheraton Grand Whitefield?

The WedMeGood listing records in-house decor (checked 26 September 2026), so an outside design team is not a given. Settle the terms before you book: whether an outside studio may build, any access fee, and load-in hours for the Convention Space.

Can we use outside caterers or alcohol at Sheraton Grand Whitefield?

No. Catering is in-house only and alcohol is served by the hotel, with outside alcohol not permitted, per the WedMeGood listing (checked 26 September 2026). There is no in-house DJ; outside DJs are allowed.

What time does music stop at Sheraton Grand Whitefield?

10 pm on the Party Lawn and poolside, under Bengaluru's rule on outdoor amplified sound. The Convention Space and the Scarlet Ballroom are indoors and run later under the hotel's rules, which makes them the natural home for a late sangeet or reception.

When is the best time for a wedding at Sheraton Grand Whitefield?

October to March if any function is on the Party Lawn. The big rooms are all indoors, so a monsoon wedding here loses only the lawn. When Marriott's events page was checked on 26 September 2026 it noted the pool closed for maintenance; check before planning a poolside function.

Sheraton Grand Whitefield, The Den or Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield?

All three are in Whitefield. The Sheraton has the biggest room, a 14,884 sq ft Convention Space for 2,000 standing, at ₹3,800 a plate on its listing. The Den has a lawn for 1,000 seated and 226 rooms at ₹1,600 vegetarian and ₹1,800 non-vegetarian. Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield has the most rooms, 520, and a Grand Ballroom for 250 seated. Pick by guest count first, then by whether you want a lawn.

Does Panigrahana plan weddings at Sheraton Grand Whitefield?

Yes. Panigrahana Weddings is an independent wedding planning and design studio based in Bangalore, working across Bangalore, Goa and Kerala; we design and produce the wedding, and the hotel takes the booking. Send your date and guest count and we check availability with Sheraton Grand Whitefield.
