Wedding planning & decor at Vivanta Whitefield: how we would design it
The building's character is the starting point and it is not neutral. Vivanta properties from this period were designed with a deliberate colour language — the coloured glass facade, the bulb-lit screen dividers, the purple and ochre interior palette visible in the gallery — and a wedding scheme in soft ivory and blush will read as a mismatch against it rather than a contrast. Either pick a palette with enough saturation to hold its own next to the hotel's own colours, or choose the lawn, where the building sits further back and the planting takes over. On the lawn, the specific problem is that it is a hotel lawn inside a tech park: the boundary is built, not planted, so the perimeter has to be either screened or lit deliberately, otherwise the evening frame is a wall. Uplighting the palms and building a defined edge does more here than anything placed at the centre.
