Vivanta Residency Road Wedding Venue, Bangalore

Gardenside, its one wedding-size space, rents at ₹2,25,000 per function, taxes extra, on the WedMeGood listing (checked 27 September 2026). Food is on top: catering is in-house and no plate rate is published, so ask for current menus with per-plate rates alongside the rental.

Up to 300. WedMeGood lists Gardenside at 235 seated and 300 floating, and Vivanta's events page gives it a maximum of 300 (checked 27 September 2026). The Corporate Room, Council and Committee Room take 15 to 80, so plan the main functions for 235 seated or fewer.

Yes. Vivanta is a brand of IHCL, the company that runs Taj, so many people search for it as Taj Vivanta. The hotel's own name is Vivanta Bengaluru, Residency Road, at 66 Residency Road (Vivanta's page, checked 27 September 2026). It is a different hotel from Taj MG Road, which was once Vivanta by Taj MG Road.

The hotel's main function space, listed as indoor and outdoor at 235 seated and 300 floating (WedMeGood, checked 27 September 2026). The listing's photographs show a walled garden courtyard with mature trees and a rock-and-water feature. Ask the hotel how much of that garden Gardenside opens onto, and how many seats are under cover.

The WedMeGood listing records in-house decor (checked 27 September 2026), so the hotel's team does it unless the hotel agrees otherwise. Ask in writing whether an outside design studio can work here, and for what fee, before you commit. On a small garden property, that answer decides how the wedding will look.

No. The listing records in-house catering only, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Ask for full menus and per-plate rates rather than one headline figure. The hotel also runs Karavalli, its South West coastal restaurant (Vivanta's page), which is worth asking about if you want a coastal menu at one function.

No. The listing records an in-house DJ and says outside DJs are not permitted. Ask what the in-house sound and lighting cover, and the finish time for Gardenside, since part of it is outdoors in a central neighbourhood.

Yes, from the hotel's bar only: the listing records in-house alcohol and no outside alcohol (WedMeGood, checked 27 September 2026). Ask for per-drink and per-hour package rates, the close time, and whether the outdoor part of Gardenside has an earlier cut-off.

98 rooms and suites, on Vivanta's own page and on WedMeGood (checked 27 September 2026). For a 200-guest wedding with a travelling group, that covers much of the block in the same building as the function. Negotiate the room block and the food together.

Gardenside is listed as indoor and outdoor, so part of it is already under cover. Ask exactly how many of the 235 seats are indoors, because that number, not the headline figure, is your wet-weather capacity. There is no second large room to fall back on.

At 66 Residency Road, Bengaluru 560025. Vivanta's page lists MG Road metro, Church Street, Brigade Road, Garuda Mall and Cubbon Park close by (checked 27 September 2026), so city guests can come by metro and walk. Plan car drop-offs around the evening peak.

No. They are separate IHCL hotels. Vivanta Residency Road is central, with 98 rooms and Gardenside for 235 seated. Vivanta Whitefield sits at the International Tech Park on the east side, with 199 rooms, the Tango ballroom and Tease Lawns (Vivanta and WedMeGood, checked 27 September 2026).

Both are central and near that size. Vivanta's Gardenside seats 235 with part of it outdoors, and the hotel has 98 rooms (WedMeGood; Vivanta). Welcomhotel's combined ballroom seats 170 at round tables, pillar-free, with 115 rooms (Cvent; ITC Hotels). Choose Vivanta for a garden setting, Welcomhotel for an indoor room.

Five things in writing: whether an outside decorator is permitted and at what fee; current menus and plate rates; how many of Gardenside's 235 seats are under cover; the room-block rate and release date against 98 rooms; and the finish time for the outdoor part of Gardenside.

Yes. Panigrahana Weddings is an independent planning and decor studio in Bangalore, not the hotel. Here the first job is the decor clause, since the listing records in-house decor: we ask the hotel whether our designers can build before you commit. Send your date and guest count and we check the date with the hotel for you.
