About ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa
ITC Grand Goa is a South Goa resort built around its lawns: the Seaside Lawns and the Dunes Lawns each take 500 at dinner rounds and 750 standing by Marriott's chart, and the Magical Forest, a wooded lawn, takes 300 at rounds for the ceremony. It opened as Park Hyatt Goa and many families still search it by that name; it now trades as ITC's Luxury Collection resort at Arossim, with 246 rooms in a Portuguese-village layout.
Indoors it is smaller than its lawns: the Salcete Ballroom is 4,030 sq ft for 250 at rounds, which makes it the sangeet room and the rain plan rather than the wedding room. So a 500-guest wedding here is an outdoor wedding, planned for the dry months with the ballroom as the fallback.
Panigrahana designs ITC Grand Goa around its three outdoor rooms, the pines, the dunes and the sea, with low, engineered structures, lit paths between them, and the 10 pm outdoor cut-off built into the run of show. Decor runs through the resort's own team under the listing's rule, so the studio's brief is drawings and specifications.
- Seaside Lawns: 71,581 sq ft on Arossim beach, 500 at rounds, 750 at a reception (Marriott events page)
- Magical Forest: 52,701 sq ft, 300 at rounds, 400 at a reception (Marriott)
- Salcete Ballroom: 4,030 sq ft and pillar-less, 250 at rounds (Marriott)
- 246 rooms and suites on about 45 acres with direct beach access (ITC Hotels)
- The former Park Hyatt Goa; ₹4,500 per plate, veg or non-veg (WedMeGood listing)

Designed, not just planned
How we would design a wedding at ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa
Three distinct outdoor characters: the trees of the Magical Forest (dappled light, lanterns), the open Dunes and Seaside lawns (sunset, wind, low structures). Keep decor low and engineered; light the paths. The ballroom is compact: a single stage wall and a lit ceiling.
Which function goes where
| Haldi | Cansaulim or a lawn corner in the morning. |
|---|---|
| Mehendi | Colva and Loutolim together (70 at rounds) with controlled light, or the Magical Forest under shade. |
| Sangeet | The Salcete Ballroom with a stage and dance floor, 250 at rounds; the party stays indoors past 10 pm. |
| Wedding ceremony | The Magical Forest for the ceremony (300 at rounds) or the Seaside Lawns facing the beach, ballroom as the written rain plan. |
| Reception | The Seaside or Dunes Lawns: 500 at rounds, 750 standing. |
Season and weather
November to February for the Seaside and Dunes Lawns; October and March work with shade and a later start. From June to September the monsoon moves the wedding into the Salcete Ballroom, 250 at rounds on Marriott's chart, so a monsoon wedding here suits a list of that size. Peak winter dates go a year ahead.
Arrivals, access and logistics
ITC Hotels puts the resort 20 minutes from the airport, and Cvent lists the nearest airport at 14 km; from Arossim that is Dabolim (GOI). Mopa (GOX) is at the far northern end of the state. With 246 rooms on site most weddings stay in one place. Confirm the 10 pm outdoor sound rule and beach-structure permissions.

Planning a wedding at ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa from abroad
At ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa, the vegetarian plate rate is ₹4,500 (WedMeGood listing, checked 25 October 2026), so food for one 150-guest function is ₹6.75 lakh before taxes: about US$7,040 or £5,320 at the 26 Sep 2026 rate; contracts are in INR. ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa is about 14 km from Goa International Airport, Dabolim (GOI), around 20 minutes by road.
Fly guests into Dabolim (GOI): ITC Hotels puts the resort 20 minutes from the airport, which makes this one of the simplest South Goa arrivals for families flying in through Mumbai, Delhi or the Gulf. With 246 rooms on site, the immediate family and most of the guest list can stay where every function happens. November to February is the dry window. We walk the Seaside Lawns, the Magical Forest and the Salcete ballroom with you on a video call and send the written allocation before any deposit.

What families usually ask about ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa
Parents usually ask where the pheras happen, whether the havan fire is allowed and how far elders must walk. The Magical Forest or the Seaside Lawns take the mandap in the dry months, with the Salcete ballroom as the indoor fallback. Ask the resort to confirm the fire, its base and the timing in writing. The resort spreads over 45 acres, so we plan the shortest route from the rooms to the mandap and seat elders close to it. Catering is in-house only, so taste the traditional menu together.
Asked and answered
ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa wedding questions
How much does a wedding at ITC Grand Goa cost?
Food is the main venue line: WedMeGood lists ₹4,500 a plate, veg or non-veg, taxes extra (checked 25 October 2026), so 250 guests across two catered functions come to ₹22.5 lakh before taxes. Rooms, decor, the bar and GST are added. WedMeGood's destination figure is ₹50 lakh a day for a 100-room block with three meals and the venue.
What is the per plate price at ITC Grand Goa?
₹4,500 per plate, vegetarian or non-vegetarian, taxes extra, is the starting price on the WedMeGood listing (checked 25 October 2026). Premium menus, live counters and the bar cost more, and the resort prices each function against the space you take, so ask for the menu and figure for your date in writing.
Does ITC Grand Goa have an all-inclusive wedding package?
WedMeGood lists a destination figure of ₹50 lakh a day for a 100-room block, covering the rooms, three meals and the venue (checked 25 October 2026). Decor, the bar, entertainment and GST sit outside it. ITC's weddings page publishes no package price, so ask for a written quote built on your room block and guest count.
Is there a venue rental at ITC Grand Goa?
No rental is published: WedMeGood prices ITC Grand Goa by the plate, ₹4,500 for veg or non-veg (checked 25 October 2026). Resorts like this sell a lawn or ballroom against a food-and-beverage minimum for each function, and a shortfall is usually negotiable (Panigrahana's guide to how venues charge), so get each minimum in writing.
What is the capacity of ITC Grand Goa for a wedding?
Marriott's event chart (checked 25 October 2026) lists the Seaside Lawns and the Dunes Lawns at 500 at banquet rounds and 750 at a reception each, the Magical Forest at 300 and 400, and the Salcete Ballroom at 250 and 350. The resort has 14 event spaces in all.
How big is the Salcete Ballroom at ITC Grand Goa?
4,030 sq ft and pillar-less: 250 at banquet rounds, 350 at a reception and 320 theatre on Marriott's chart (checked 25 October 2026). It divides into Salcete A, B and C, and A with B, or B with C, takes 160 at rounds, which suits a sangeet or the rain plan.
How many rooms does ITC Grand Goa have?
246 rooms and suites on 45 acres, per ITC Hotels (checked 25 October 2026), the same count WedMeGood lists. WedMeGood shows ₹27,900 as its room-price figure; the wedding block is quoted for your dates. At two guests a room, the block covers most destination guest lists without an overflow hotel.
Can we bring our own decorator to ITC Grand Goa?
The WedMeGood listing names in-house decor as the policy, with decor from ₹2 lakh (checked 25 October 2026). If you want an outside design team, ask the resort in writing whether it may work alongside the in-house team and on what terms, before you sign.
Can we bring outside catering or alcohol to ITC Grand Goa?
No on both: WedMeGood lists in-house catering only and an in-house bar with no outside alcohol (checked 25 October 2026). Plan the menus with the resort's kitchen, including any Jain or regional menu, and ask for the bar packages per head in writing.
What time does the music stop at ITC Grand Goa?
Outdoors at 10 pm: the Noise Pollution Rules bar loudspeakers from 10 pm to 6 am except inside closed premises such as banquet halls (CPCB, checked 26 September 2026). The late party moves into the Salcete Ballroom with the resort's own DJ, as the listing does not permit outside DJs; agree the closing time in writing.
Can we have a beach wedding at ITC Grand Goa?
Yes: ITC's weddings page lists a private Beach Front Venue on Arossim beach beside the Seaside Lawns, which take 750 at a reception (checked 25 October 2026). A structure on the sand needs the resort's sign-off and local permissions, outdoor sound stops at 10 pm, and the Salcete Ballroom is the written rain plan.
Is ITC Grand Goa in North or South Goa?
South Goa: ITC Hotels lists the resort at Arossim Beach, Cansaulim, South Goa 403712 (checked 25 October 2026), on 45 acres with direct beach access. It sits between Dabolim airport and the Majorda and Colva stretch, which keeps guest transfers short.
How far is ITC Grand Goa from the airport?
About 20 minutes by car from Dabolim (GOI), per ITC Hotels (checked 25 October 2026); Cvent lists the nearest airport at 14 km. Mopa (GOX) is at the far northern end of the state, so book overseas guests into Dabolim where you can.
What is the best month for a wedding at ITC Grand Goa?
November to February is lawn season; from June to September the wedding moves into the Salcete Ballroom, 250 at rounds on Marriott's chart (checked 25 October 2026). October and March work with shade and a later ceremony. Winter weekends go a year ahead.
Who plans weddings at ITC Grand Goa?
Panigrahana planned and decorated a 280-guest wedding at ITC Grand Goa in January 2024, and we plan here as an independent studio, not the resort. We work with ITC's events team on the in-house decor and catering terms and produce each function; the resort keeps the contract for rooms and food.

ITC Grand Goa has 246 rooms and a ₹4,500 plate with in-house decor; Taj Exotica Goa has 140 rooms and a ₹5,500 plate with outside decorators permitted (WedMeGood, checked 25 October 2026). ITC suits a large house party in one hotel; Taj Exotica suits a couple bringing their own designer.

Yes for a guest list of 200 to 600 that wants lawns and one hotel: 246 rooms on 45 acres (ITC Hotels, checked 25 October 2026), two lawns that take 750 at a reception on Marriott's chart, and a 4,030 sq ft ballroom for the sangeet. Decor, food and the bar run through the resort's own teams.

Yes: about 300 of our 500+ weddings since 2018 were for couples living abroad (Panigrahana, owner-confirmed September 2026), and ITC Hotels puts this resort 20 minutes from Dabolim. We walk the lawns and the ballroom with you on video, send written allocations and a costed room block, and run the week on site.
