Realistically 120–250, not 350. Marriott's published capacity chart caps Shanti Lawn at 250 reception or 150 on rounds, and the Amaya indoor hall at 75 reception or 70 on rounds. The WedMeGood listing's '80–350 pax' is a floating figure across spaces, not a number any single space can seat. Plan the wedding around 250 standing on the lawn as the true ceiling, and ask the resort to confirm your seated layout in writing.

Shanti Lawn (also written Santi) is 112 ft × 59 ft — about 6,600 sq ft — and Marriott's own capacity chart gives it 150 on rounds, 250 reception and 250 theatre-style. You will see 2,600 sq ft quoted elsewhere, including on our own earlier page; that came from the 2023 opening press release and is wrong, because 2,600 sq ft cannot physically seat 300 people. The 6,600 figure matches Marriott's published dimensions exactly.

Amaya is 1,995 sq ft — 66.5 ft × 30 ft with a 10 ft ceiling — and Marriott publishes 70 on rounds, 75 reception and 110 theatre-style. The WedMeGood listing claims 200 seated and 350 floating for the same room; at 1,995 sq ft that is not achievable with banquet rounds. This matters more than any other number on the page, because Amaya is your only covered space. Get the seated figure confirmed on resort letterhead before you sign.

A pre-booked marquee, not a walk indoors — and this is where most write-ups of this venue mislead you. Amaya seats 70 on rounds per Marriott's chart, so a 200-guest lawn function has no equivalent covered fallback on the property. For any outdoor function above about 100 guests, cost a clear-span marquee or a lawn canopy at signing and treat it as a real budget line, not a contingency. Below 70 guests, Amaya is a genuine indoor alternative.

Yes — the WedMeGood listing states outside decorators are permitted, checked 11 September 2026. In practice a Marriott-managed resort reviews the production plan, rigging, floor protection and safety clearances, and usually asks for vendor IDs and a refundable damage deposit on larger builds. Panigrahana designs and fabricates originals for this property in our own workshop and handles the approval, deposit and load-in scheduling end to end, so you never sit between a resort manager and a production crew.

No to both. The WedMeGood listing shows in-house catering only, in-house alcohol available and outside alcohol not permitted — checked 11 September 2026. That is standard for a Marriott-managed property and it does simplify the bill into one kitchen and one accountable team. Vegetarian, Jain and regional South Indian menus are arranged through the resort kitchen, and the bar is quoted per head or on consumption. Ask for the bar package options in writing alongside the plate rate.

The resort publishes no rate. The WedMeGood listing shows 'Price on Request' (Taxes Extra) and Marriott publishes no wedding or F&B rate card, so any per-plate number you find online for this venue — ours included — is an estimate rather than a quote. Panigrahana's internal planning band is ₹3,500–₹6,000 per plate plus GST, which we use to build indicative budgets only. We take your date and guest count to the resort and return the live rate card itemised.

Neither figure is published, and WedMeGood lists the venue price as 'Price on Request'. Marriott-managed hotels normally price each space against a food-and-beverage minimum guarantee per space per function rather than a flat hire fee. Ask for that minimum in writing, space by space and function by function, and ask what happens if you fall under it — hotels usually negotiate the shortfall rather than charging it at the full plate rate, but only if you raise it.

Roughly 30 minutes' drive, per the resort's own opening description; our earlier page and js/data.js both said about 25 minutes, so treat it as 25–30 minutes depending on the hour. The resort publishes no road distance, so we do not print one. The practical point stands either way: guests fly in and are checked in within the hour with no drive across Bangalore. From central Bangalore, allow well over an hour in traffic.

102 rooms and suites, confirmed on the WedMeGood listing and in the resort's 2023 opening announcement. They sit in low bungalow blocks on the same property as the lawn, the hall and the pool, so guests walk to functions rather than driving. A full-property buyout is a conversation with the resort rather than a published option. Block early: for peak November-to-February weekends the room inventory and the lawn are the two things that run out first.

Yes on the lawn, and no indoors. Shanti Lawn is the right place for an open-frame mandap and a homam with the resort's fire clearance and a fire-safe base under it, which we arrange as part of the production plan. Amaya is wall-to-wall carpet, so no open fire indoors under any circumstance, and all florals in the hall need waterproof trays. Get the fire policy and the priest's setup list agreed with the resort in writing before the date.

At the north end of Shanti Lawn. The Nandi Hills summit is almost due north of the resort, so a north-facing mandap puts the granite dome behind the couple, and in wedding season — October to February — the sun tracks south of overhead, which means the camera shoots north with the sun behind it and everything frontally lit. A 6.30–8.30 am muhurtham gets low east light raking down the lawn's 112-foot length.

You can bring your own DJ — the WedMeGood listing shows an in-house DJ available and outside DJs permitted. The resort publishes no cut-off time for either the lawn or the hall, so get it in writing per space and per date rather than assuming. Karnataka's rules on outdoor amplified sound generally close open-air music around 10 pm, which affects the lawn but not the enclosed hall, so plan the late dance floor indoors.

The WedMeGood listing states sufficient parking is available, though no car count is published. As a resort on its own grounds outside the city it is not competing for street space. For a 250-guest reception we still run valet at the porte-cochère plus a shuttle loop from the airport and one city pick-up point, so elderly guests never cross a car park, and we route decor trucks through a separate service entry agreed during load-in scheduling.

They solve different problems. JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire, fifteen minutes away in the same Devanahalli belt, lists 301 rooms and capacity to 2,000 — the right answer for a 400-plus list or a wedding that must be indoors. Mulberry Shades is smaller and quieter: 102 rooms, a 6,600 sq ft lawn, and a resort that feels like one property rather than a hotel. Choose Mulberry Shades for 120–250 guests who all sleep on site; choose Golfshire for scale.

Day one: mehendi on the Aurora poolside deck in the afternoon at 80 or so, then welcome cocktails poolside as airport arrivals land, then sangeet in Amaya if your list is under about 110 or on the lawn if it is larger. Day two: muhurtham on Shanti Lawn at first light with the hill behind the mandap, then reception on the same lawn after dark with the stage at the north end. Day three: brunch before checkout.
