How we would design a wedding at Vythiri Village Resort, Wayanad

Vythiri Hall is enormous and plain, which is good news for design: 20,000 sq ft with no pillars takes a full stage set, a ceiling treatment and a proper dance floor. The risk is that it looks like a convention centre, so it needs soft zoning with drapes, a lounge at the back and lighting that shrinks the room. Outside, the forest and the hanging bridge are the photographs; keep structures low and let the green show. For a Kerala ceremony the resort already works with nadaswaram players and sadya, so we would spend the design effort on the mandap and the lighting, not on inventing rituals.
